One more announcement today.
And it's all about our Australian little boy who doesn't want to grow old: Peter Wilson

His new single is getting out this friday!!!!!
And Peter says: โ€œDONโ€™T STOPโ€ ๐Ÿ’ฅ

A new chapter begins.
โ€œDonโ€™t Stopโ€ is the first single from Peter Wilsonโ€™s brand-new album which is already finished and recorded, produced and composed almost entirely by Peter himself.

And this time, Peter is heading straight back to POP. Big melodies, sweet hooks, unapologetically catchy songs and, naturally, plenty of 80s DNA running through the whole thing.

Peter has always been a huge Dead or Alive fan, and you can definitely hear some of that energy in โ€œDonโ€™t Stopโ€. Elsewhere on the album, expect plenty of nods to the golden age of PWL and classic 80s electronic pop productions.

And then thereโ€™s the remixโ€ฆ

Greek producer Sakgra has taken โ€œDonโ€™t Stopโ€ into full-on PWL territory. It genuinely sounds like something Pete Hammond might have mixed for Stock Aitken Waterman back in the day! Glossy, punchy and gloriously over the top in exactly the right way.

So: new single, new album, lots of pop and absolutely no intention of being subtle. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Some records simply age...
Others somehow become more iconic with time.

๐— ๐—ถ๐—ธ๐—ฒ ๐— ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—ฒ๐—ปโ€™s โ€œ๐‘ณ๐’๐’—๐’† ๐‘บ๐’‘๐’šโ€ turns 40 this year and four decades later, it still sounds completely unmistakable!!!

The funny fact is that it almost wasnโ€™t called Love Spy at all. The original version was โ€œBatmanโ€, built around the famous comic-book character. A few promo copies even existed before the concept ran into copyright problems. So Peter Lack and Thomas Weiss rewrote the lyrics, the song was reworked and โ€œLove Spyโ€ was born.

And what a team was behind it: Thomas Weiss, Peter Lack, Bob Divine and Hubert Kemmler (also known as Hubert Kah), and later closely associated with Michael Cretu and Sandraโ€™s classic 80s productions.

Released in 1986, Love Spy reached #16 in Germany, stayed on the charts for 14 weeks and also made the US Dance Top 50.

Numbers are one thing, though. What really matters is that forty years later it is still instantly recognisable: futuristic, dramatic, wonderfully strange and built around a sound that belongs to absolutely nobody else.

Some people call it kitsch and a mixture of "Living On Video" and some other stuff.
I never really understood that bu****it. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
To me, it is simply one of the great cult records of 80s electronic dance music. And not just to me. To thousands of people all over the Europe too.

So for its ๐Ÿฐ๐Ÿฌ๐˜๐—ต ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ป๐—ถ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐˜€๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐˜†, Love Spy is back on vinyl.
