Yesterday, some very sad news spread through the classic Italo Disco community. After a long battle with illness, at only 68 years old, one of the true legends of the genre has passed away.

A one-of-a-kind voice, an incredibly talented and successful composer and producer, and one of the co-founders of S.A.I.F.A.M., he left behind an immense musical legacy that continues to inspire and captivate new generations.

His charismatic vocals, countless collaborations with the most iconic names in the scene, and catalogs full of timeless productions still make collectors’ hearts race.

It was largely thanks to his work that the more commercial, pop-tinged, vocal side of Italo Disco spread across the world and connected with young audiences.

We will never forget.
Mauro left us far too soon.
