Beloved coach, teacher, principal and Superintendent Robert "Bob" Sobotta Sr. passed away November 4th at the age of 88.

Sobotta was a Lapwai graduate in 1956. He was part of the 1956 Idaho Class "B" State Basketball Championship team from Lapwai. He continued his education at Washington State University, College of Idaho and Lewis-Clark Normal School (now known as Lewis Clark State College, LCSC). Sobotta taught, coached and was an administrator at Lapwai for the majority of his career. The family invites all of those who knew Bob to join them for his services.

The Prairie Pirates jumped out to a 44-24 halftime lead and hung on to defeat the Valley Vikings 50-44 in Cottonwood Friday afternoon in a Idaho State 2A football Play-In game! Chris Schumacher had two touchdown runs for the Pirates, and Kade Quintal had two of his own, along with two touchdown passes, one to Cooper Riener, and one to Levi Gehring. Gehring also had a touchdown run to go with his touchdown reception. On defense, Benny Secrest had a big sack for the Pirates on the final possession and then pressured the quarterback to throw an incompletion on fourth down to seal the victory. Prairie (7-3) will await the results of three other Play-In games today to see who and where they will play in the quarterfinals next week. Good luck and GO PIRATES!!!

The Clarkston Lady Bantam Soccer team finished the regular season on a high note, shutting out the Rogers Pirates 6-0 Thursday at the Lincoln Middle School playfields in 2A GSL action! The Bantams (3-12-1) secured the #5 seed for the District playoffs and will play the #4 seed Deer Park Stags on Saturday in a loser-out match. Game time is set for 3:30pm at Union Stadium in Mead, Washington. Good luck and GO BANTAMS!!!

The Clarkston Lady Bantam Soccer team lost to the East Valley Knights 3-0 in GSL action Tuesday at the Lincoln Middle School playfields. The Bantams (2-12-1) will host the Rogers Pirates in their regular season finale on Thursday at 4pm. Seven seniors will be honored at their last home match: Lily Somers, Olivia Bailey, Abby Ausman, Jennifer Figueroa, Daniella Lucas, Ashley Eggleston, and Emma Aceveda. Good luck and GO BANTAMS!!!

Bantams lose hard fought contest on Senior night to Greyhounds.

The Clarkston Bantams lost a hard fight game to the visiting Pullman Greyhounds 28 to 13. The Greyhounds scored 2 - first quarter touchdowns to make it a 14-0 lead going into the second quarter.

The teams traded touchdowns in the second quarter. A 6 yard scoring run by Lee Brown followed by an Ethan White extra Point made the score 21 to 7 at halftime.

It was a defensive battle in the second half as the Bantams gave up one touchdown pullman as well as scoring one touchdown themselves. Kendry Gimlin hit Drey Torpey for a 3 yard scoring strike late in the fourth quarter.

The final score was 28 to 13

Clarkson goes on the road next Friday night for an early evening contest versus North Central . Game time is 5:00 PM with pregame coverage starting at 4:45 PM.
