Ubotex MD speaks on Easter celebration
..says Jesus stronger than dead

As Christians world over celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the managing Director of Ubotex Limited, Elder Ubong Obot has said that Jesus is the only one that is stronger than death, stressing that if Jesus could overcome death, there's nothing else he could not over in the world.

Elder Obot stated this on Easter Sunday while delivery a sermon at The Apostolic Church Nigeria, Ikot Ntuen Oku Major Center, Uyo.

Speaking on the topic, "Jesus my redeemer is stronger than death", he emphasized that death is the only thing that no one can have power over irrespective of position or status and that it is only Jesus Christ, whom he described as the redeemer of mankind, that was able to overcome death as he died and resurrected after three days. According to him, the resurrection brought about victory over death as Christ emerged and remains King over the living and the death.

Taking his text from Matt 28:6 and Romans 14:9, the Ubotex MD explained that Christ resurrection from death is the greatest assurance that Christians can overcome anything through the power of the resurrection. He recalled that many death persons resurrected from the grave upon Jesus' death and declared that those who believe in Christ as the redeemer will overcome every difficult situation in their life and that every death things in their life will ressurect with the power of Christ's resurrection.

"Because Christ overcome death, he is stronger than death and he is our redeemer. Through him, you will overcome sickness, hardship, persecution, attack, oppression and every other challenges of life," Obot declared.

It could be recalled that the State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno had earlier in his Easter Broadcast stated that "We are living in a moment and time that mirrors what Christ went through over two thousand years ago, a period of trial and tribulation, of economic pains and anxieties but conditioned by hope that, just as Christ overcame death, we, too, will overcome this period and victory will be ours eventually."

The 'Malachite' effect in Ika LGA

Barely three years ago, Ika Local Government Area witnessed the emergence of Hon. Malachy Ukpeh as the 10th Council Chairman of Ika Local Government. Upon his assumption of office, it was not clear to the people of Ika what was to become of them and the Local Government in general. Just like the biblical Prophet Isaiah said in chapter 53, verse 2, "And when we see Him, there is no beauty that we should desire Him," no one thought that Hon. Malachy's effect in Ika will eventually be institutionalized as a "Malachite effect". Three years later, Ika Local Government and its people are counting and naming the 'effect of Malachy' one by one. Starting from the peace and security which Malachy brought to bear through the formation of "THE RENAISSANCE", a security watch team made up of youths of Ika Local Government and well mobilized with vehicles for patrols and other security gadgets. The effect of this is that since the formation of the team, there has been no record of illegal or criminal activities in Ika.

Another Malachite effect in Ika that is being named and counted by Ika people is the remodeled Ika Main park project at Urua Inyang executed by Malachy. For over seven years before his emergence as the Executive Chairman, Ika people depended on Etim Ekpo motor park for their day to day commuting. Today, the Ika main park is ready for commissioning and usage by the people of Ika.

Market traders in Ika are also counting and naming the Malachite effect as they are using and enjoying a remodeled Amanyam market which until now was an eyesore. The remodeling brought about the booming of the market thereby stepping up economic activities in the local government.

Another Malachite effect is the intervention on the access road to Ika Main Park which apart from giving easy access to the park has linked other adjoining roads thereby creating a network of rural roads.

Malachite effect in the education sector is unprecedented. Apart from payment of students bursary, Malachy has supported many students and school pupils through programmes like quiz competitions, educational support funds and many others.

Unarguably, Malachy's tenure as the Executive Chairman of Ika has brought about life touching projects and programmes to show as scorecards. Little wonder he is enjoying massive support from Ika people. His commitment to the wellbeing of Ika people as evidenced especially in the distribution of the pallative from the state/federal government is a testament of his love for Ika people. No gain saying the fact that the victory enjoyed by the Peoples Democratic Party in Ika Local Government during the last general election was courtesy of the Malachite effect.

In all, it could be said that the effect of Malachy's administration in Ika Local Government when sustained to the next general election will give Ika people and the party in particular an edge over others. Indeed, Hon. Malachy Ukpeh has affected Ika Local Government positively in the past three years.

The hidden truth about Akwa Ibom State

It is no news that I visited Akwa Ibom a few days ago.

I had gone to see first-hand, facts I had privately researched on, to justify investments in real estate in a location that I can now confirm is Nigeria’s best kept secret.
—————————————-

Anybody who has a passing knowledge in economics and geography, and has also followed Nigeria’s trajectory will not take long to come to the conclusion that Akwa-Ibom will undoubtedly take the centre-stage of a future Nigerian economic renaissance.

Here are a few reasons;

1. Akwa-Ibom, being a littoral state, is one of only eight (8) states in Nigeria that is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean, and by implication an Ocean gateway of Nigeria.

In truth, of all the eight states bordered by the Atlantic, Akwa-Ibom has the longest coastline at 129 kilometres.

2. Beyond being a littoral state, Akwa-Ibom hosts a natural site for an actual deep-sea port whose planning has gone well beyond feasibility studies.

If completed, Ibom Sea Port will be one of only six deep sea ports located along Nigeria’s 853 kilometre coastline.

3. The city of Aba, Nigeria’s major industrial hub and commercial city, is less than 80 kilometres from the intended sea-port.

If the IPP in Aba eventually becomes a reality and the city lives up to its full industrial potential, both Uyo and Aba will be intertwined in a symbiotic relationship never seen before in Nigeria.

4. Akwa-Ibom is one of the few states in the country that combines significant Oil and Gas activities, with Tourism and Hospitality as well as Agriculture.

This simply means that there is a good mix of economic activity which will only get better.

5. An International Airport (with a fully operative domestic wing) has commenced operations.

Operations commenced with an inaugural flight to Accra late last October.

6. Akwa-Ibom is one of the few states where successive governments have been intentional with road infrastructure (at least by Nigerian standards) with existing roads being expanded and new roads being constructed.

Properties are actually making way for road expansion with the owners receiving actual compensation.

7. Of all Oil producing states in the Niger-Delta, Akwa-Ibom has remained the most peaceful.

This is not unconnected with the culture of the people of Akwa-Ibom, who are about the most friendly and courteous people you will ever meet in Nigeria.

The average visitor would be enchanted by their simplicity and hospitality.

8. Nigeria’s second largest private refinery, being built by the BUA consortium is located in Akwa-Ibom.

You know what they say in economics about a factor of production being close to its raw material.

9. The state plays host to Nigeria’s best golf resort.

Golf we all know, is a pastime of very high net worth individuals, the type whose investments can change the fortune of the location they invest in.

10. It is there-fore not surprising, that major companies and individuals who have done their research properly, are quietly trooping to the state to lap up real estate property for the future, preparing themselves to be in prime position to reap from the explosion whose time is only a matter of when.
—————————-

All these I knew, but confirmed further with an actual visit, and was extremely happy with what I saw.

For me, Akwa-Ibom real estate is exactly where I like it.

Relatively cheap, but with huge potential.

The type that you can only dig out with research.

If things go the way they are supposed to, anybody who purchases property in this state may be sitting on a small fortune a few years from now.

Even as it is presently, Akwa-Ibom, with its serenity, is a home away from home, with the huge Ibom five star resort playing host to so many activities.

The delicacies are out of this world, with a vast array of different soups and foods.

Boasting of the longest coastline in Nigeria at 129kilometres long, availability of fresh seafood will be a delight for sea food lovers who can also relax at beautiful beaches.

My utmost hope, is that Akwa-Ibom is able to keep its innocence when the all but certain geometric industrial growth starts happening.
—————————————

Should you decide in the affirmative regarding investment, Uche Sandra Nnamoko is someone whom I have transacted with on more than three occasions.

So far, I have had no cause to regret.

All relevant documents regarding my property are verifiable and already in my possession, and what’s more, she is acting as my caretaker, managing them in my absence.

I recommend her to anyone who would love to invest in this beautiful state.

I would strongly recommend anybody thinking of buying property in Nigeria to have a look at Akwa-Ibom.

You just might be sitting atop a huge fortune a few years from now.
