Carlos had been performing well in his world and Asian championship routes. Along with Yulo's winning moments in men's artistic gymnastics are his pet disciplines, which are vault and floor exercise. Yulo showcased difficulties in his routine during the 2024 Paris Olympics.

After a breath-taking round in the preliminaries of the 2024 Paris Olympics, he did qualify in the top 24 for all around and both in the top 8 for Vault and Floor Exerise.

In the finals, Yulo gracefully took the top spot in the vault and floor exercise after his performances and eventually clinched the gold medals after all the routines.
