The Big Dark is our latest guerrilla film project: a 30-page script by Santiago, slowly shot with local actors over the past few months on the streets of , specifically in —the coolest neighborhood in the USA, according to (Sept 2024).

This genre-blending film fuses psychological thriller, dark comedy, and sci-fi horror into a surreal exploration of fear and survival. Each scene and character remains true to its genre, creating a unique, evolving tone. It might get weird, but it definitely won’t be boring.

We plan to screen and release the experimental film in January under the label on the platform for a few reasons, the narrative of this filmwork follows a of characters and it’s made by a community of creatives on a similar real life collective journey to make indie films in Portland. Additionally, this project is a case study to demonstrate a more transparent and fair ecosystem for indies.

Back on Moonshine’s Guerrilla Street with my experimental film of the year . Back to our old ways, breaking and entering abandon cement factories and causing all kinds of ruckus on the streets of with the film gang where people least expect us coming and making movies. Everyone acting their asses off, stealing shots, running with the footage, and no body get left behind.

Slipping in this last summer read. Hit the thumbs up if you know knows who Elaine May is. And what you know about her.

has always intrigued me. I know nothing about her except her
sketch work Mike Nichols and directing two of my all time favorite directors as actors in movies, & .

To me, she’s an intriguing creative force that nobody I know has ever mentions. I guess I know very very little people that are that deep into cinema or worse, she’s falling between the cracks.

When we talk about giving women more opportunities in , I think that’s rather shortsighted if we’re not celebrating the ones that have already forged paths.
