Yves Saint Laurent classic Haute Couture and Rive Gauche collections and the creative mind of Robert Mapplethorpe, The collection has a timeless mood with menacing, seductive elegance to it.

Robert Mapplethorpe was best known for his black-and-white photographs. His work featured an array of subjects, including celebrity portraits, male and female nudes, self-portraits, and still-life images.

His most controversial works documented and examined the gay male B**M subculture of New York City in the late 1960s and early 1970s.

Oliviero Toscani, the Italian fashion photographer renowned for the Benetton provocative advertising campaigns has died aged 82 in the Tuscan town of Cecina.

For two decades, Toscani served as Benetton art director



The Milan-born photographer also worked for multiple fashion publications including Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, GQ and captured iconic faces such as John Lennon, Andy Warhol and the Italian film director Federico Fellini.

His images drew attention to social themes, ranging frHIV/Aids and racism to the death penalty and mafia killings, in the United Colours of Benetton advertising campaigns, mostly in the 1980s.

In 1992, he used a photograph of David Kirby, who had Aids, on his deathbed, surrounded by his family for a Benetton campaign during the peak of the health crisis in the US. It was so far his most controversial image ever!
