*Heritage School Observes the Last Monday of Sawan with a Pledge for Environmental and Water Conservation*
Buxar: On the auspicious occasion of the last Monday of Sawan, Heritage School, Buxar organized a special Environmental and Water Conservation Pledge Programme to create awareness among students about environmental protection, water conservation, plantation, and the importance of greenery.
The entire school family, including students and staff members, collectively took a pledge to protect nature and conserve natural resources. The students resolved to use every drop of water wisely, avoid unnecessary wastage of water, reduce the use of single-use plastic, and plant at least one tree every year and take care of it until it grows into a healthy tree.
The students also pledged to maintain cleanliness in their surroundings, dispose of waste only in dustbins, and protect trees and plants from unnecessary damage. They were made aware that trees play a vital role in maintaining ecological balance and providing life-supporting oxygen.
After taking the pledge, the students observed one minute of silence and meditation. During this time, they were encouraged to reflect on the importance of trees, nature, and the oxygen they receive from the environment. They also pledged to contribute towards the protection and preservation of nature.
The school management emphasized that developing a sense of environmental responsibility among children is an important need of the present time. If every child takes responsibility for conserving water, planting trees, and protecting nature, it can help create a cleaner, safer, and more sustainable environment for future generations.
The central message of the programme was:
тАЬSave Water, Plant Trees and Protect NatureтАФbecause the conservation of our environment is the foundation of a safe and healthy human society.тАЭ
The programme concluded with the collective resolve of the students and the school family to spread awareness about environmental protection and make environmental conservation an integral part of their daily lives.
