Mr. Chatman is an instructional assistant at Robertson County Phoenix Academy. This is his first year with the district. He loves the Tennessee Titans and spending time with his family. He was recently celebrated for having perfect attendance!

Thank you so much to everyone who attended our fall festival! We had a movie on the lawn, a chili cookoff, tons of candy, pumpkin bowling, and face painting. We ended the night roasting s’mores. It was a blast!

Here is an update for you. Please read this carefully!
Tristar NorthCrest will remain in-network for all Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) products through the end of the calendar year (Not school year).
This change averts the potential network disruption that BCBS previously communicated to members regarding NorthCrest falling out of network on October 1, 2022.
On December 31, 2022, as previously anticipated, NorthCrest will no longer remain in-network for BCBS Network S products.
NorthCrest will remain in-network for all other products including Network P, BlueCare, and Blue Cross Medicare Advantage Plans.
Network S patients should still seek care at their nearest ER in case of emergency, regardless of in-network or out-of-network status.

Regarding the decision to open Robertson County Schools for all students five days a week:
1) advisory.com: "...new studies increasingly are suggesting that the number of people who are infected with the new coronavirus but don't exhibit symptoms of Covid-19 is higher than researchers previously understood." 40-45% of infected people have no symptoms, making temperature-taking a rather ineffective measure of identification.
2) Students will be on crowded school buses, largely negating mitigation efforts in classrooms.
3) According to The Scientific American, Covid 19 is probably an aerosol in addition to being spread by droplets, meaning it can travel 30 feet or longer instead of 6 and have a life outside the body for many more hours.
3) "All students in school five days a week" is an ignorant and naive idea for this situation and will result in positive cases almost immediately, endangering students, teachers, administrators and school staff.
4) Relying on a survey of parents and students rather than the advice of the vast majority of Tennessee doctors and medical professionals is, in their words, "insane" and "irresponsible".
How many sick people will it take for you to realize how faulty your thinking is? Other districts are now taking a hybrid approach to reduce numbers of students physically present, using an alternate day system and other measures. Apparently Robertson County Schools are unable to think that far out of the old traditional box.

Currently, the Miss Tennky Area AFS Team has two AFSers who need new hosts families in the near future. They are both female from Germany and Czech Republic. One needs to stay at Springfield HS in Robertson County and the other at Nolensville HS in Williamson County. They can go to another school, but prefer they stay where they are as they have adjusted well there..MNPS will take transfers. There are openings at all high schools.
