I have been working on a Nigeria Macro Forecast Monitor.

The aim is to move beyond reporting individual indicators and build a system that connects them.Growth, inflation, exchange rates, interest rates, oil exposure and trade conditions do not move independently.

They shape one another.

This is an early output from the model: Nigeria GDP growth, actual versus baseline, comparing them with the recent IMF forecast.

The model suggests that growth is stabilising over the forecast period. However, this sits alongside sustained inflation and ongoing exchange-rate adjustment.

This combination is useful for understanding the underlying state of the economy.
