As many people know, I don’t like being in pictures. However, this morning, I wanted to continue my running that I’ve been doing for the past four weeks and I wanted to take a picture by the lake early in the morning, which is what you see. Today is Friday, July 11 and we have a new Superman movie in the theaters. I have a tattoo from the man of steel movie which that glyph represents Hope. It was nice to feel present in this moment. This time last year I had stopped running and needed to get therapy for my foot. The last time I reached this point into the C25K app that was almost 2 years ago to the day. I’m happy to report that I am still moving forward and I wanted to continue running and pursue both a half marathon as well as a full marathon by the age of 60. Next month is my birthday and I will be turning 58 so I have some time in between but still I have a long road ahead of me.

Once again, the creative gears are turning! 🤩 We’ve got a Princess themed library program coming up at the end of the month, and guess who’s building a castle for it? Yours truly! I didn’t even suggest it, but here we are. 😂
After a few days off post-4th of July, inspiration struck. While researching castle architecture, I stumbled upon the word “battlement” – that cool pattern on top of castle walls. I found a template, experimented with different papers, and finally landed on card stock. For that brick-like look, I even used a LEGO piece to stencil the surface! Pretty happy with the results so far.
Still need to add several towers and some festive bunting, but I’m hoping to have it all done by the end of the week. Wish me luck! 🤞

While I had many issues with Captain America: Brave New World, I believe the ending could have been significantly improved by having Isaiah Bradley assist Sam in fighting the Red Hulk. My ideal scenario would have seen Bradley, powered by the Super Soldier Serum, attempt to go toe-to-toe with the Red Hulk. Though his strength wouldn't be enough to secure victory, it would set the stage for Sam, who lacks the serum, to use his therapeutic skills to de-escalate and ultimately win over the Hulk.
