40 YEARS AGO TODAY! July 13th. 1985. Live Aid. Where were you? And what were you doing? Please share. I recall giving away trips to the Philadelphia concert on my morning show. I remember it was on a Saturday. I was at home recording all the performances on my TEAC Reel-to-Reel deck so I could illegally play them back on Monday during my morning show on KUPD. LOL! I also recall Adam Ant, Rob Halford, Rick Springfield, George Thorogood, Mark Knopfler, Chrissie Hynde, Bryan Adams, and others calling into my show the following week to share their experiences backstage and on stage. Thanks for the memories!! It's incredible that we are all still connected. Love it!

Over three decades, Ozzy ALWAYS hit my show when in Arizona. Even when I moved to country radio! Ozzy didn't care...... He said "Mama I'm Coming Home" is actually more of a country song than rock, and that he could have recorded it with Faith Hill or Shania Twain. He's a great guy, and I cherish my off-air time with him as much as the on-air memories. He is actually a gentle soul with a warm and kind spirit. Sharon too! Before I would bring him on stage, he always called me by my full name. "David, I'm ready. David let's go". Later, he would call me "Mayor" like everybody else. He once greeted me with a hug and said, "It's The Mayor of Darkness!" LOL!!!!!
