PEOPLE - when someone posts pics and a price from a restaurant please stop saying “I can make this cheaper at home”.

We all understand anything can be made much cheaper at home. It’s a fu***ng stupid comment.

Some of us are actually interested in the places where folks post and what they paid. I am, because if I’m ever in those places I can search here and decide where to go based on these posts.

I actually have more trust of people on here saying “this tray of BBQ was $150 but was awesome” or “this tray of BBQ was a waste of $150” and we were at this restaurant.

But for the love of everything BBQ, we all KNOW we can make better and cheaper food at home.

Just fired it up and it's smelling a bit chemically which is I guess the paint or the internal coating burning off.

It was amazing. I ordered for 80, and had about 60 people, so LOTS of leftovers, which went to a homeless shelter. 10/10 would repeat.

Second brisket try (botched the first one) looking for advice.
Like the title states, my first attempt ended up dry and tough. It was 10:30pm and I had a house full of drunk people waiting for dinner. I pulled it early and didn't rest long enough. I plan to wrap this one in butcher paper and smoke with cherry over oak natural lump charcoal base (barrel style smoker). I was wondering if I should keep it wrapped the entire smoke? Should I be painting? I assume cap up / low and slow is the way but I'm no expert. Any advice is appreciated.
