Different types of foundations:

Shallow Foundation:

Spread Footing: A wide base that spreads the load over a larger area. Common in residential buildings.

Slab Foundation: A flat, concrete slab directly on the ground, used for smaller buildings or in places with low frost depth.

Strip Foundation: Continuous strip of concrete, typically for walls, used when the load is spread over a large area.

Deep Foundation:

Pile Foundation: Long columns driven deep into the ground to reach stable soil or bedrock. Used when surface soil isn’t strong enough to support the structure.

Pier Foundation: Similar to piles but shorter, used for supporting heavier structures like bridges or multi-story buildings.

Raft/Foundation Slab:
