On 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟮, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰, Comune di San Michele Salentino - Pagina Istituzionale transformed into a festive wonderland of fun and joy for families during the Christmas celebrations! 🎭🎶
Entire families enjoyed enchanting performances with artists, music, theater, and acrobatics, creating unforgettable moments for everyone.

On 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟵, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰, Comune di Castelbottaccio and Comune di San Michele Salentino - Pagina Istituzionale came together in Termoli for a pivotal 𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗺𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 as part of the M.A.R.I.O. project 💡

This 𝗳𝗿𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 focused on finalizing the project action plan and prioritizing strategies to tackle youth outmigration by creating new opportunities in education, employment, and culture. The collaboration aims to ensure a brighter, more inclusive future for young people in our communities.

After outlining a timeline to finalize the remaining activities as the project approaches its conclusion, the meeting emphasized the importance of teamwork and the dedication of all stakeholders in driving positive change. Together, we are building stronger communities! 🌍

🎤 The event was opened by Mayor 𝘛𝘰𝘮𝘪𝘴𝘭𝘢𝘷 𝘈𝘯𝘤̌𝘪𝘤́, who welcomed participants and highlighted the importance of addressing youth outmigration for demographic renewal, particularly in the Dubrovnik-Neretva County and across all territories involved in the project.

🎯 Stakeholders and citizens discussed innovative the strategies provided by the project, providing valuable feedback for the joint action plan aimed at defining a common and replicable approach to addressing the issue of outmigration among young educated people.

🤝 The event showcased the power of cross-border collaboration in tackling shared challenges and shaping a sustainable future for all.

🤝 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀: 𝗔 𝗦𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗯𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗶𝗼 🏡

On 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟰, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰, the Comune di Castelbottaccio hosted a vibrant community workshop as part of the Interreg MARIO project 🇪🇺

👏🏻 With the participation of the Mayor, 𝘔𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘰 𝘋𝘪𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘦, and local citizens, the event addressed the pressing issue of outmigration and its link to depopulation in rural areas, focusing on Molise region.
👉🏻 Discussions focused on the challenges of inner areas -depopulation, aging populations, and structural deficiencies - and the long-term impact of losing young, educated individuals on community resilience.

🌟 Highlights included 𝘛𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘢 𝘋𝘦𝘭 𝘎𝘪𝘶𝘥𝘪𝘤𝘦, Professor at the the University of Naples Federico II, on integrated policies for youth, and 𝘚𝘢𝘳𝘢 𝘙𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘪, President of the Future Food Institute, on holistic regeneration strategies.

The event concluded with an 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗤&𝗔 𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗻𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀, fostering collaboration and innovative ideas for creating a sustainable future for inner areas.

Final steps underway! 👣

As the MARIO project approaches its conclusion, partners are actively engaged in implementing the final activities 🚀

Last Friday, October 25th, the MARIO team met online to discuss the project's progress, focusing on Work Package 2, dedicated to:

✅ Defining integrated territorial strategies to tackle and revert the problem of outward migration of young and educated people affecting areas in Italy and Croatia;

✅ Peer reviewing approaches;

✅ Sharing and adopting measures to combat outmigration with tailored monitoring indicators ensuring concrete and sustainable impacts.

🗓️ Yesterday, June 13, 2024, partners held the MARIO Mid-term Review meeting to discuss the project’s status and plan the next steps.

The online meeting, attended by representatives from the Joint Secretariat, was the opportunity to present an overview of the project and assess its progress in operational, administrative and financial terms, highlighting the efforts of all partners in achieving the set objectives. 🎯
