Winning Isn't Everything - the Welling United fanzine WIE (Winning Isn't Everything) is a fanzine for supporters of Welling United FC. Because things aren't as bad as they sometimes seem..... For now.

"Winning Isn't Everything", or WIE as it is better known, is a fanzine for supporters of Welling United Football Club who play in the Skrill Premier in England. WIE was originally founded in the early 1990s and ceased publication in late 2000. Season 2010/11 saw Welling United in severe financial trouble and WIE returned to play its part in the fundraising campaign. And WIE is now here to stay. Because we don't know how to stop....

On the 22nd November 1989 GM Vauxhall Conference side Welling United beat Football League Division 4 side Gillingham 1-0 at home in a FA Cup 1st Round Replay after the two sides had drawn 0-0 (att 5,598) at Gillingham.
The only goal of the game was scored in the 32nd minute by Mark Hone in front of 4,020 at Park View Road.
