Political leaders from the Sudan Peopleโs Liberation Movement (SPLM) and the Bor Community leadership convened today in Juba to address and iron out their political differences that had recently surfaced on social media.
The meeting brought together prominent SPLM and community leaders, including Hon. Michael Makuei Lueth, Hon. Deng Ayuen Kur, Hon. Dr. Malek Alier, Hon. Abraham Biar Deng, Hon. Peter Wal Athiu, Hon. Kuol Bol Ayom, Hon. Hakim Garang, Hon. June Maler, Dr. Angok Kuol Tiir, Professor Ajuoi Magot, Hon. Buol Lual, Payam Chairpersons, and the Bor Community Youth Association (BCYA) Chairman, among other leaders.
The dialogue was successfully mediated by Hon. Agau Jongkuch, Professor Mayom Kueirot, Hon. Akim Deng Majuch, Hon. Abraham Jok Aring, and Gen. Ayuen Alier, who emphasized the need for reconciliation, discipline, and collective responsibility among SPLM members and community representatives.
After frank and constructive deliberations, the leaders agreed to put aside their differences and to work together in unity and solidarity for the peace, stability, and development of Bor and Jonglei State.
The meeting reaffirmed the spirit of comradeship within the SPLM family and underscored the importance of community cohesion, mutual respect, and adherence to party discipline.
All participants committed themselves to promoting dialogue and cooperation as the cornerstone of lasting political harmony in Bor.
