I have some bad news, fam.

I’ve struggled with the reliability of our podcast software often over the last year or so. Today, it corrupted the entire episode when I went in to upload it.

Due to this, today’s episode will be delayed. Believe me when I say I’m as sad as you are - I have to re-edit the whole thing 😭 I’m going to do my best to get it out by tomorrow evening.

In the meantime, stay safe…and don’t ever use Podcastle for editing.

*UPDATE 6/16*
After hours of fighting with Podcastle today, I gave up. I downloaded what I could and moved over to the new software. It’s been a bit of a learning curve, but I’m moving more smoothly now. I don’t think it’ll make it up tonight (I am mentally exhausted) - but I should be able to get it finished up tomorrow.

Then begins the process of moving everything over 😵‍💫 and I’m getting married this weekend. Send help! 🤣

Victims deserve to be heard in all spaces with the same care, compassion, and tenacity that the Banner has employed in telling the stories of those who have been abused and how far GGWO has gone to hide these atrocities from daylight.

We would love to extend a huge congratulations to Julie, Jessica, and Justin at the Baltimore Banner for being awarded 2nd place in the local category of the the Collier Awards for Ethics & Journalism Thursday night. It is our understanding that there were at least 100 entries from other publications, so this recognition is no small thing!

As our listeners know, these extraordinary humans are friends of the podcast and have been so courageous and compassionate in their determination to bring the stories of so many survivors to light.

And speaking of extraordinary humans-we would like to also acknowledge our friends at the Millstones who did the hard and painstaking work of piecing these stories together and chose to have the courage and perseverance to make sure they were heard.

To all who have shared your stories with the Banner, the Millstones, or with us-you are the bravest souls we know. Thank you for refusing to stay silent. We may never know the true impact of what your courage has meant to so many. 💕
