Robert Frank began his career as a photojournalist. Working for Harper's Bazaar, Vogue and Fortune brought him recognition and a trained eye for social life, portraits, and street photography. Later on, he moved to making films and documentaries. He never really abandoned photography as you can see from his visual autobiography published in 1972.â €
