How to Extend Your Motorcycle License Tax in Thailand
So recently, I went to renew my bike’s license tax. I don’t speak Thai, so I just went in and said, “I want to extend tax,” with my pink tax receipt. Worked like a charm! Here’s what you need:
Required Documents:
• Green Book
• Owner’s Passport or Thai ID
• (If the owner is Thai, you’ll need a signed copy of the Thai ID)
• Pink Tax Receipt
• (If you don’t have the pink slip from the last payment, that’s okay)
Tax Process:
First, find an insurance company that can handle the tax for you. If you can’t locate one by searching in English, try searching for สถานตรวจสภาพรถ on Google Maps and head to the nearest one. These places usually look like small red buildings with yellow and blue signs.
Start with a basic vehicle inspection:
• Front and rear lights
• Indicator lights
• Speedometer
• Front and rear tires
• Exhaust
• Handlebars
They charge about 60 baht for this inspection.
Costs:
• Insurance & service fee: 600 baht
• Tax fee: 100 baht
• Inspection fee: 60 baht
Total: 760 baht
If you go today, you’ll get the renewed pink tax slip by tomorrow. Once that’s attached to your bike, you’re free to ride worry-free! No need to worry about getting stopped since you’ll have all the valid documents on you.
Note: As long as the pink tax slip is valid, there’s no need to record it in the green book. But if you want an official record, you’ll need to visit the office in person. For short trips, just having the pink slip is enough.

* (နောက်ဆုံးအကြိမ် အခွန်ဆောင်ထားသော ပန်းရောင်စာရွက်) - လက်ထဲမရှိလဲ ရပါတယ်

Tax Process
အရင်ဆုံး အခွန်ဆောင်လို့ ရသော Insurance company မျိုးကို ရှာပါ။
English လို ရှာရင် မတွေ့လို့ပါ
สถานตรวจสภาพรถ (Thai version) ကို Google Map မှာ ကိုယ်တိုင်ရှာပြီးတော့ အနီးအနားမှာရှိရင် သွားလို့ ရပါတယ် ၊ သူတို့က အဝါနဲ့ အပြာ တံဆိပ်လေးပါတဲ့ အနီရောင်တိုက်လေးပါ။
အရင်ဆုံး Vehicle Maintenance လုပ်ပါတယ် ၊
* ရှေ့မီး / နောက်မီး *
* အချက်ပြမီး *
* speedometer ဒိုင်ခွက် *
* ရှေ့ဘီး / နောက်ဘီး *
* ဆိုင်ကယ် exhaust *
* ဆိုင်ကယ် လက်ကိုင် *
သူတို့ စစ်ဆေးခကို 60 baht ဝန်းကျင်တောင်းပါတယ် ပြီးရင်တော့
Insurance နဲ့ ဝန်ဆောင်ခ 600 baht
အခွန်ဆောင်ခ 100 baht
စစ်ဆေးခ 60 baht
Total - 760 baht ကျပါတယ်
ဒီနေ့ သွားရင် မနက်ဖြန်ကို သက်တမ်းတိုးပြီးသား ပန်းရောင်စာရွက်လေး ရပါပြီ။
ဆိုင်ကယ်မှာ ပန်းရောင်စာရွက်လေး ကပ်ထားပြီးတော့ ကိုယ်သွားချင်တာ သွားလို့ ရပါပြီ။ လမ်းမှာ စစ်ဆေးခံရမှာ စိတ်ပူဖို့ မလိုတော့ပါဘူး။
(ပန်းရောင် စာရွက်မှာ သက်တမ်းရှိနေသေးရင် အဆင်ပြေပါပြီ ၊ Green book ထဲမှာ Record ကို မှတ်တမ်းတင်ဖို့ မလိုတော့ပါဘူး ၊ မှတ်တမ်းလိုချင်ရင်တော့ ရုံးကို ကိုယ်တိုင်သွားရတာမျိုး လိုပါတယ် ၊ ကိုယ်က အနီးအနားပဲ မောင်းမယ်ဆိုရင်တော့ ပန်းရောင်စာရွက်ရှိတာနဲ့တင် အဆင်ပြေပါပြီ)
