We are devastated to announce that our founder, David Owen, has passed away after a short illness.
David was a loving father, partner, son and brother and we share in his family’s devastation. He was keen curler who represented GB at the 2003 World University Games in Tarvisio. In recent years he had introduced his children to the game and it is fitting that his most recent trophy was the club pairs which he won along side his son.
In the short time David had to put plans in place, he made it clear he wanted Curling Stadium Europe to continue, and it will. With support from the team in North America we will make plans to deliver this seasons events.
We ask for your understanding and patience as we navigate the road ahead and face the challenges and emotions that we will all undoubtedly be met with as we come to terms with our loss.
