Shots from the Pantera show in Austin TX on Sept. 2, 2025. It was a game time decision for me as I finally got a deal on some tickets that afternoon. The show and the weather was much better than the last time Phil and Co. rolled through Austin. We weren't dying from heat exhaustion this time. I could tell that the band has a few years of touring under their belts and are much more comfortable playing this music with each other. Phil sounded 10X better than last time, Zakk did a solid job, Rex and Charlie kept that rhythm steady all night. They played a few new tracks this time around like "Hellbound, Strength Beyond Strength, Goddamn Electric, 10's (🤘🤘)" and "I'll Cast A Shadow". The rest of the setlist was about the same as the first time they came around. The crowd was into it making plenty of noise and the sound was really good. It was good to hear all these heavy songs over that PA again and it just reminded me of how badass Pantera was in their prime when the brothers were still alive and I'm glad I got to see them as many times that I did. You can tell Volume 11 was pretty far away from the stage but I hope you metalheads enjoy the photo dump.

Austin and Central Texas metalheads, there is a good one going down tonight. If you find yourself with no other plans and want to support some local metal get out to this show. Dimefest is an annual show that has proven in the past to be a good ripping banger with some of the best metal bands Austin has to offer.
Death Of A Dream is headlining and they do not disappoint!!
Get out and support local metal and as always....

Finally got to these pics from two weeks ago at the House of Blues Las Vegas. Bruce Dickinson put on a great show. If you haven't listened to his solo stuff you really should. He did a badass set containing a good mix from his albums and they played "The Chemical Wedding" which is a personal favorite. They also played "Resurrection Men" from the latest album; The Mandrake Project (which is a really good concept album); the track is one of the better songs on the album.
We had a great time at the show, there was a large South American group there from Columbia who made the journey to Vegas just for this show. They made a lot of noise and really got into the show, which is exactly how it should be.
Bruce also did an Iron Maiden cover of "Flash of the Blade" which I had never seen Maiden do live before and Bruce's band nailed it.

Hey there Metalheads!!! Hope this Saturday finds you out checking out some shows or just listening to some massive jams. I made the trip into Vegas from Texas for the Bruce Dickinson show tonight at the House of Blues Las Vegas. Should be a good one, The Mandrake Project was a really good album and his past solo efforts were just as good so it should be a night of choice tunes.

Good morning Metalheads!! The Summer Breeze festival will start their live stream feed today at 9am CDT. They haven't posted the band schedule for the stream yet though. But a few big names will be taking the stages out in Germany including Gojira, Within Temptation, Rivers of Nihil, Destruction and Agnostic Front.

There it is!!
The live stream for King Diamond started but I have a feeling it's on about a 20 min time delay while they finished up that other show, Machine Head is still streaming on the Faster-Harder channel. Looks like these are the last two major acts of the night. Not sure what else Wacken will stream but today was a good one.

Machine Head closing out the Wacken main stage right now.
The organizers had a light and drone show for the fans to thank them and confirmed that Def Leppard, Seputura, In Flames, Nevermore, Savatage and Powerwolf would be at Wacken 2026.
Good day of metal, you can still access the site and watch many of the shows from the past four days, I will be going back to check out Dimmu Borgir and the Fear Factory shows.

Well no Gojira live stream, instead the Faster-Harder channel is showing repeat clips of some of the major acts from earlier in the week. They had GNR and now are showing Papa Roach. But I believe the live commentators were mentioning Machine Head for later. If they live stream that show it should come on about 4pm CDT.
On the Louder Stage channel they are live streaming the D-A-D show and we are longtime fans of this band at Volume 11 so we are jamming out. They have not posted a schedule so it's still a watch and see what comes up, King Diamond is still scheduled to headline the Louder stage so that is a possibility.
