The Dim Coast is incredibly excited for our next release...a killer four hour, 4xCD box set by the remarkable artist and filmmaker, Joshua Bonnetta. The release also features a forward by jake moore and text by acclaimed nature writer, Robert Macfarlane. Crafted from 8,670 hours of continuous recording over the course of a year, The Pines, is a careful listening to conditions and events circling around a single tree in Tioga County, New York. At times calming and tranquil, at other times ghostly and harrowing as sounds from known and unknown sources are revealed once the presence of the recordist is removed. The Pines will be released into the wild April 18. The Pines is commissioned by The Dim Coast and co-released with Shelter Press, available on Bandcamp and your favourite record store via Secretly Canadian distribution. Stay tuned for updates!

Hi folks, There's a new release I contributed a track to that launched today. It's a benefit for the amazing Palestinian online radio station, Radio Alhara. Today is also a Bandcamp Friday meaning 100% of the money directed towards the release goes to the recipient. Lots of nice music here and for a good cause. Thanks for listening.

Tomorrow, June 7, The Dim Coast is very pleased to release Christof Migone's "Auditorium (Chaos, Quiet, Fail)". It's up for pre-release now over on our Bandcamp. Auditorium (Chaos, Quiet, Fail) is a CD (6-panel digipak + 12-page booklet) and digital download. Publication based on Auditorium, a project based on a failed audio piece done in 2002. The failed piece was then used as part of experiments in collective listening to listening recorded at the Hotel2Tango in Montreal in 2005 and 2006.
