“PUTRIDITY – MORBID ATARAXIA”
places a heavy emphasis on production, with Cédric Malebolgia’s relentless drumbeats exploding from behind the riffs, with a strong emphasis on snare breaches and rapid cymbal interplay.
Vocals Andrea Piro delivers a raspy, sharp vocals without degenerating into an indecipherable trash compactor.
Founders Putrid Ciccio and Manuel Lucchini’s tones unfortunately drown out bassist Giancarlo Mendo, but make up for it with raw punch, straddling the perfect line between enough treble for audible progressions and enough bass thump to sound like a revving engine.
For an album that relies on breakneck speed and more explosions than a military training ground, this expansive clarity allows every devastating moment to be present and reckoned with with extreme precision for the listener!!!
