A new garden is blooming!

Northridge Review will be celebrating Indie Bookstore Day in an open mic event on Saturday, April 26, from 4-6pm at Malibu Village Books (23359 Pacific Coast HWY #23359, Malibu, CA 90265). Issues will be available for purchase there, too!

Ysabella Gonzalez is a published reporter, writer, editor, researcher, archivist, and consultant. She is pursuing a Master of Arts in English after obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in English and Communication at California Lutheran University. In her off time, she likes to read fantasy and fiction.

Contributor Spotlight!

Victoria Hoang is an undergraduate student at CSUN double-majoring in Civil Engineering and Professional Accountancy. She is the 2025 Daniel W. Mead Technical Paper Project Manager for CSUN ASCE, a student chapter that promotes civil engineering education. Her technical paper will be presented at the 2025 ASCE PSWS Competition.

Tristan Eisenberg graduated from CSUN's Creative Writing MA program last year and is still searching for the next big thing. In the meantime, he teaches English at a local high school and drinks Mai Tais, but never at the same time. He continues to write about Los Angeles and its forgotten history, as it is the only place he knows.

Susana Hernandez earned her Associate of Arts in English at Antelope Valley College where she then transferred and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing at California State University Northridge. She is currently earning her Master's Degree in English Literature at CSUN. Her aspirations are to teach at the community college level once she has finished her program. She is serving as Assistant Art Editor for the Northridge Review. Susana is passionate about writing fantasy, adventure, and realistic creative non-fiction.

Sophia is a CSUN graduate and LA native. Her writing has appeared in former Northridge Review issues and Cul-De-Sac Literary Magazine. Her writing explores the human pursuit of benevolence and understanding despite being our own biggest obstacle. When not writing, she's reading film scripts, traveling, or starting new creative hobbies.

Romina (she/her) is a visual artist from Los Angeles. Her past work includes photo assignments for Vogue, Converse, Forever 21, Goldenvoice, and HBO Pa’lante. After she graduates in the spring, she plans to produce and direct feature films. Her favorite movie is Running on Empty.

PJ is a CSUN graduate student. He commits his time as the Managing Editor for prose in Scarlet Review, the Treasurer for Sigma Tau Delta, and the current Editor-at-Large for Northridge Review. This is one of his first short stories to be published, and his cats are very proud.
