For whatever reason, and (God) only knows, they only made a handful of these people in modern history.

This is a name that will be everlasting with a songbook and recording style that will be studied forever.

⚡️ PAUL WELLER ⚡️.

Happy Sinners day disciples. You beat be indulging in all things magnificent !

Following on from my Stanley road post this week, turning 30.. wow! Now I feel old 🤌🏻

I thought I’d share my favourite Weller moment. Like out of all of it. The 6 decades.

a few years back teamed up with to create this absolute MASTERPIECE. There’s 0 other words for it.

I’m a bit of a music geek like you all know, and since this im hard pressed to find anything that would top this whole performance and album of live retrospect. It literally changes the scope of music for me.

Flanked as ever by the incredible , Weller navigates his way through the last 6 decades of music with the BBC symphony orchestra on some of his greatest songs and new material.

It’s one of them performances… when I don’t know what to listen to, I’ll whack this on and it always delivers and I’m captivated. It’s genuinely spellbinding.

It is LEAGUES above anything else, the backdrop is the iconic with no audience during covid lockdowns. Which I think just adds to the uniqueness.
There are guest appearances from and . Each deliver a superb spice to well known loved songs by Paul.

If you’ve never seen this in full… you are in for a treat.
This one will stick with me for life. For sure.

The dramatics of the orchestrated versions of these songs carefully push these into other realms of “classic” . A whole new respect for the great music that Weller has provided.

⚡️MIC LIVE ⚡️

Bringing back the LIVE behind the scenes part of the show on the Instagram very soon during the radio broadcasting… it was one of my fave parts of the show, having a laugh with you lot.

This beauty came from the remnants of the old studios in sub basement 2 of a very well known building in London when they were based there. Now it’s part of the church alter.

I ripped it out with my own fare hands after they moved out some years back now. It’s fair to say one man’s junk is another’s treasure!
