Vespasian Security News is looking to recruit some willing volunteers to assist in filming across the summer 2016 season.

The idea is to capture the essence of a festival from the security point of view. This will include crowd shots, Pieces to camera from managers and staff as well as shots of security at work.

VSN was set up to bring Vespasian Security Ltd staff up to date news and action from all our work across the UK. It was also set up as a portal for people to bring news worthy stories that we can share from work to personal achievements.

The weekend past saw the team from Vespasian Security Ltd provide crowd management for the Portsmouth Summer Show.

It was a great opening start the 2016 summer festival season with acts such as Peter Andre, 5ive and Fun Lovin' Criminals entertaining a packed house.

Much plaudits go to the organisers and booking team for putting on a great show and line up.

The month of may sees the return to King George V playing fields for Mutiny Festivals. The plan for this is to have the Vespasian News Team out and about with camera for mini interviews and event footage.

A sad day for the extended Vespasian family who we have the pleasure of working for at Hevy.

Spiralling festival costs, are they an issue for the smaller independent festivals?

It is with a "Hevy" heart we say R.I.P to Hevy Festival.

After 6 years of some great line ups and free walks around a zoo, unfortunately they can no longer sustain the costs.

Contributing factors to the decision was the inability of Port Lympne being able to host the event and the spiralling costs against fair ticket prices.

At Vespasian Security we are saddened as there is not many festivals where you can say there is a unique atmosphere in the equally unique surroundings of a wildlife park. The clientele at this festival have always been supportive of the scene and you could not wish for a nicer set of festival goers.

We wish the HevyFest team all the best in future operations and we know whatever they are set to do will be a success.

With the upcoming festival season, we are looking to re-ignite ALL the social media platforms for Vespasian Security News.

In partnership Vespasian Security Ltd, we will be running the YouTube channel at the festival season with news bits, interviews and general festival "banter".

A new VSN YouTube Channel video is now live.

This latest video is a quick look into Vespasian Security Ltd attending The Showman's Show.

For each of the last 5 years Vespasian Security has attended The Showman's Show at Newbury Show Ground and has proved a great place to meet new and existing clients including Bath Comedy Festival, Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, Y Not Festival, BSTK Festival and all other Count of Ten events.
