Whitstable's first Ceramic Fair comes to The Horsebridge from 21-23rd November
where you can meet up to 25 ceramicists from in and around Whitstable and Kent with an incredible array of work.

From functional pots and plates, to sculptural pieces, and more abstract and whimsical work, they represent ceramicists at many different stages of their journey with working with clay. It's also a fantastic opportunity to start your festive shopping whilst supporting Kent art and crafts, and the chance to take home a unique piece that will bring joy for many years.

-LIDO STORES: Lido Open 2025

The Lido Open 2025, co-curated by Kristen Healy and guest judge Sophie von Hellermann, showcases over 100 works across —its largest open call to date. One participating artist will be awarded a solo show in 2026. Featuring emerging and established talent, many exhibiting in Margate for the first time, the show sparks lively conversation and highlights contemporary art from across the UK and Ireland.

-TKE STUDIOS: Banele Khoza and Sejiro Avoseh

In this dual exhibition Banele Khoza and Sejiro Avoseh delve into intimacy, identity, migration, and belonging through deeply personal, emotionally charged works. Avoseh, a UK-based Nigerian artist, uses collage and painting to explore cultural dislocation and shifting identity. Khoza, based in Johannesburg, creates diaristic works blending figuration and text to examine queer identity and love. Together, their practices reflect vulnerability, transformation, and the complexity of selfhood across borders.

-LIMINAL GALLERY: Thes Peces wer made by me

presents a two-person exhibition by Maud Whatley and Jack Coulson. Featuring sculpture and drawings, the show explores armour as both historical artifact and contemporary metaphor for identity, storytelling, and power. Referencing curious true tales, from gold-threaded jawbones to medieval coats of arms, it highlights the humour, fragility, and eccentric craftsmanship involved in protecting bodies, both real and imagined, from harm.
