🙋 Right now, Margate is the only town or village in Thanet without a parish council, and all services for the town are provided either by Thanet District Council, or Kent County Council. From today, Friday 15 August, TDC is inviting local people to share their views on setting up a new parish council for Margate.

🛝 Parish councils can focus on local services like grass cutting, bins, street lighting, parks and playgrounds, community buildings and allotments. Elected to represent the local community, their work can improve quality of life and wellbeing in the area.

✍️ Whether you’re a resident, business, community organisation or local group, TDC would love to hear your thoughts. Have your say by taking part in a short survey via the link below. It’s open until 5pm on Sunday 28 September 2025.
