A Woman’s journey.
I was just a little girl once. Running barefoot through the streets. Laughter in my heart and dreams in eyes. But I noticed something very early — some dreams were not meant to be spoken.
I used to watch my mother. She was the strongest woman I knew. Carried the weight of a family, burdens of sacrifice, and the silence of a thousand unspoken dreams. She gave almost endlessly, without ever asking for more. Yet, she never called herself strong.
Then wonders happened in body and mind! I grew up. I walked into classrooms where I was told to listen more than I spoke. I entered offices where my ideas were heard, but not always considered. I learned to stand tall, even when my knees shook. I learned that strength is not about being fearless. It’s about moving forward, even when fear whispers in your ear.
Today, I work. I lead. I create. I love. I build homes, I build companies, I build futures. I carry the dreams my mother never got to chase. I live them for her, and for every woman who was told, 'not yet. Not you'.
And now, I look at my daughter. My bundle of joy. She walks with confidence I never had at her age. She speaks without hesitation, dreams without apology. She does not wonder if she belongs—she knows she does.
Of course i am realising now that the world has changed, but not enough. The road is long but we are walking it together.
To every woman reading this — you are more than enough. Your voice matters. Your dreams matter. You are not just made for the world, you are here to shape it. And one day, when our daughters look back, they will see the footprints we left behind.
And that day they will celebrate a sweet little secret. And whisper this in mind: 'they walked, so we could run'. 💙
