Tempest: Shards of the Gods is a deck-building strategy game. Each player begins with the same deck of cards: 5 'Rites of Worship' (a basic Resource), 4 'Mercenary' (a basic Troop) and 1 'Border Fort' (a basic Structure). However, each player also has access to six Tales that they can research to bring the characters from those stories into their games. These Tales contain all of the Troops, Upgra

des, Structures and Events that can be played during the turn. On each turn, players discard any number of cards from their hands to gain a resource called "æther" (the air of the gods). Aether can then be spent to research new cards from the Tales, to play cards from hand, or to charge up certain cards to make them more powerful. You must advance your Troops from your Temple into your Battleground, Neutral territory, then into your opponent's Battleground and Temple. Invest your aether wisely. Research too many tales and you will find yourself overwhelmed. But don't research at all and you may find yourself struggling in the late game.

Fox Tale Games is an independent Australian board game publisher, founded in 2015.

The Projects

Lucidity: Six-sided Nightmares is a press-your-luck dice rolling game. Sleep or stay awake, it’s your choice. One will get you more points, the other may save your life. Lucidity funded on Kickstarter in July 2017 and released to retail in May 2018 in partnership with Renegade Game Studios.

Runika and the Six-sided Spellbooks is a pattern-making dice game about crafting runes in an arcane academy. Roll and shift your dice to create patterns on your cards, or bribe the professors to give yourself a free pass. Runika is launches on Kickstarter in April 2019.

Tempest: Shards of the Gods is a strategic card game of myths and legends. The game is played over a series of turns, in which players must ration their limited resources to build their decks and deploy troops with which to secure victory. Based in ancient history and myth, Tempest allows players to recreate stories of mythological adventure. Tempest is currently undergoing development.

The Founder

Shannon Kelly, is a dedicated gamer and has been creating games in one form or another since he was old enough to crawl. He has long dreamed of publishing his own game and crowdfunding makes such a dream possible. In his real time, he works as an editor for an international publishing company.
