Southern University at Shreveport (SUSLA) invites the community to join us for an
exhilarating Spring Commencement ceremony on Monday, May 12, 2025, at 6:00 PM at the Shreveport Convention Center, located at 400 Caddo Street in Shreveport,
Louisiana. We are thrilled to announce that the keynote address will be delivered by the World-renowned Shreveport native, Bishop Joseph Warren Walker, III. As the Senior Leader of the historic Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Nashville, Tennessee, and the International Presiding Bishop of the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship, Bishop Walker brings a wealth of inspiration and knowledge that will undoubtedly uplift and motivate our graduates.
This year marks an extraordinary milestone with the Spring Class of 2025 being the
largest graduating class in a decade! A total of 438 students will earn their diplomas,
including 366 traditional students and 78 exceptional dual enrollment scholars, who are successfully balancing their education in both high school and college. This
achievement reflects our dedication to supporting our students as they strive for
excellence!
