I apologize for my absence, I’ll spare you the details b/c I’m positive someone understands.

But I thought I’d post some thoughts. My feed, same as everyone else’s, is filled with a lot of heavy energy. I’m still processing it all. Observing. Trying my hardest to operate in love.

While doom scrolling, I came across a post that tagged and it put the biggest smile on my face. I mean I just don’t know anyone else who knows a person like Jamie. I mean who else is passionate about food education AND has a cadaver bone in their neck?!?!!?! 🧟‍♂️ I felt compelled to share the poston my story because I want others to also know what she’s up to and what she does for our city. And then I got inspired and thought, “You know what, I’m gonna shout out a bunch of peeps who genuinely put a smile on my face!”

All that to say, the world is changing rapidly. It can be overwhelming. It will likely continue being overwhelming and harder. Through it all, we all have to admit that all we have is each other. I’ve said it once and I’ll keep saying it, community is so important.

I don’t know when I’ll be back. My creativity is being directed elsewhere at the moment because currently, I am the project.

Que pasa mi hermosas y hermosos, it's been a little while since I've posted any type of content and I promise its with good reason. In one of my more recent episodes, I shared that I was going through a tough in the area of motherhood. That still remains true today. There is so much that I could update with, but out of respect for my son and our journey through this challenging time, Ive decided to wait a little longer before opening up and sharing.

For now I wanted to share my recent and long overdue visit to the that is the very definition of life itself. Despite the heat we have been experiencing, the Tamox is thriving and vibrant with life of all kinds. It was a reminder that even when our environments are unruly and harsh, we remain resilient and beautiful. Visiting Tamox was the right kind of medicine for me and I am grateful for the people who I got to talk to last night.

Community is so important, especially in the times we are living in. It is what will get us through the muddiness in life. But we have to work together towards the same mission. Doing it alone is harder and will take longer.

At this point in time, I don't know when I will put out an episode, but I will be sharing more content that showcases the three pillars of the Big Love Project. Incase you forget, they are Self-Development, Family, and Community. Right now those three pillars are playing a HUGE role in my life and there are things taking place that are showing me lessons. It is my goal to share these experiences with you all. As always, I hope this post resonates.

What a great conversation with a talented and kind woman! There were no coincedences in play when this connection happened. I could tell that Laura is very passionate about what she does and who she is on a mission to help!

The conversation may not have been planned 100% but both still had an opportunity to dive into some very real topics, like burnout and equality in the workplace and what that looks like for minorty women.

If you listened to my last episode, then you know I said I was going to share more “real life”. I know I don’t have to. But this my life right now. Helping my son navigate his mental health. This is tough. Sometimes, I don’t even know how to navigate mine. But we’ll do it together. We’ll do it afraid.

I’ve said this before, and I’ll say it again. The Big Love Project is about Community. But you can’t have strong communities without strong families, and strong families start with you, self development. If we don’t take care of ourselves, we can’t take care of or help others. A lesson I’m working hard to teach my son.

But first, I have to take care of me, because I AM The Big Love Project.

One of the greatest lessons I’ve learned about social media is that before you go and comment on a controversial post, go read the comments first, and the comments to those comments. Chances are someone already commented what you’re about go comment and they sounded like ding d**g. Don’t do that to yourself. Sheesh, everyone is looking for a reason to be mad. Go hug it out friends!
