Here are a few tips for getting a few minutes of extra shut-eye:

* For smaller kids to sleep in, make sure their PJ's are warm enough on their own. They will mostl likely kick off their blanket by morning.

* Make sure the thermostat doesn't change temperature during critical sleep time. The change in temperature, airflow, or sound can easily wake kids.

* Leave out clothes to for younger ones to wear so they can get dressed on their own. Ideally away from anyone they might wake.

Dropsy problem? Be sure to interrupt child at an inconvenient time for them to request pickup as a natural consequence. ex "Son, please come over here right now and put away these rubber boots". And don't let them delay.
