Friday evening, St. Paul dispatched companies to a dwelling fire on the 1600 block of St. Anthony Avenue.

14's house was first to arrive and reported heavy fire showing from the second floor, side C of a large 3-story home. Engine 14 pulled their line, Squad 2 began a search, Chief 1 took command and Engine 20 backed up 14's.

Chief 1 requested the balance and had Engine 5 get a water supply to 14's and 20's. Ladders 18 and 23 assisted with searches and fire attack, Chief 2 was safety and Rescue 3 was RIT.

Crews reported heavy fire on the second floor and extension to the third floor. Command had Engine 23 pull a line to the third floor.

Crews knocked down the main fire but had some fire in the walls and attic. Command had Squad 1 go to the roof and cut a hole on side C.

All searches were negative and crews rotated through overhauling the second and third floors.

Assignment: Engines 14, 20, 5, Ladders 18, 23, Squad 2, Rescue 3, Chiefs 1, 2, Car 5, Medic 18 and Ambulance 1

Shortly before midnight Thursday, Minneapolis dispatched an initial assignment to the 3000 block of 18th Avenue S. for smoke from a structure.

Engine 5 arrived and reported they had black smoke showing from a boarded up 2-story home. Engine 5 requested a first alarm assignment and pulled their tank line.

Ladder 3 began forcible entry to the home and Engine 21 laid a supply and backup line. Chief 3 took command and had Ladder 2 assist with entry. Engine 7 was RIT, Rescue 1 also assisted with entry and Chief 2 was ISO.

Crews advised command that all windows and doors had plywood and metal over them.

Once crews opened up the front door, Engine 5 knocked down the fire on the porch and checked for extension. Trucks crews performed search and rescue and Engine 7 put up egress ladders.

All searches were negative and crews found no extension into the home. Crews ventilated the home and overhauled the porch.

First alarm: Engine 7, Ladder 2, Rescue 1, Chief 2, Deputy, MC, Salvage and HCMC medics

Late Monday afternoon, St. Paul dispatched companies to a garage fire on the 700 block of Blair Ave.

Engine 18 arrived in the alley and reported they had a large garage fully involved with exposures. Engine 18 pulled their line and next-in Engine 22 got them a water supply.

Ladder 18 assisted with entry, Chief 2 took command and Engine 5 assisted with a water supply and pulled a second line off 18's and Squad 2 checked the home for any extension.

The garage also had two vehicles inside and once the main fire was knocked down all crews on scene assisted with overhaul.

Squad 2 found no extension in the home and the garage across the alley.

Assignment: Engines 18, 22, 5, Ladder 18, Squad 2, Chief 2 and Car 20

Monday afternoon, Minneapolis dispatched a first alarm assignment to the 2800 block of Stevens Avenue S. for a commercial fire.

Engine 8 reported smoke showing from a large 1-story repair garage and were laying a tank line. Rescue 1 began a search of the structure, Engine 6 laid a supply and backup line, Ladder 11 went to the roof while Chief 1 took command.

Engine 8 reported they had a car burning inside the garage.

Engine 10 was RIT, Chief 2 was ISO and Ladder 3 assisted with opening up the car.

Engine 8 reported they had the fire knocked down but believed they have extension into the ceiling. Command requested a second alarm with a temperature of 90 and to assist with opening up.

Crews found minor extension and all crews on scene assisted with overhaul, ventilation and picking up hose.

First alarm: Engines 8, 6, 10, Ladders 11, 3, Rescue 1, Chiefs 1, 2, and Deputy, MC, Salvage and HCMC medics
Second alarm: Engines 5, 17 and Ladder 5

Saturday morning as St Paul crews were clearing a run at 261 East University crews were dispatched for an apartment fire at Rice Street and Sherburne Avenue.

Ladder 22 arrived and reported heavy smoke showing from Side D on the second floor of a 3-story taxpayer. Ladder 22 began a search and put their stick to the roof.

Chief 2 requested the balance. Engine 5 pulled their line through Side A and got their own water supply and Engine 18 pulled their line through Side C and were supplied by Engine 9.

Ladder 22 reported they had a victim on the second floor and were bringing them down and Chief 2 requested a second alarm.

Both Engines 4 and 23 pulled their lines to the third floor. Several rescues were made by St Paul police and several others were rescued down ground ladders by fire crews.

Command assigned Ladder 24 RIT and Chief 1 safety.

Engine 5 reported they had two lines on the second floor and were knocking down the fire. Crews reported heavy smoke on the third floor but found no fire extension.

Command had Ladder 7 go to the roof to ventilate.

Once crews had the fire in the second floor apartment knocked down they began extensive overhaul and ventilation of the large building.

Assignment: Engines 4, 5, 23, Ladders 22, 18, Squad 2, Chiefs 2, 1,Car 5, Medic 3 and Ambulance 1

Balance: Engines 18, 8, Ladder 7, Squad 3 and Medic 7

Second alarm: Engines 9, 10 Ladder 24, Medic 20 and Air Truck

Just after 10 p.m., St. Paul dispatched companies to smoke in an apartment building on the 1300 block of Thomas Avenue While enroute, two medic rigs were added as residents were complaining of smoke inhalation.

Engine 18 reported smoke on the first floor of a 2-story taxpayer and were investigating. Upon entering 18's reported heavy smoke and pulled their line and were backed up by Engine 14. Chief 1 requested the balance and assumed command.

Command had Engine 20 get a supply to 18's and 14's, Ladder 18 begin search and Squad 2 check the basement. Command had Ladder 23 put up ground ladders on Sides B and D.

Crews found heavy smoke on both floors of the building and reported the building was very cut up.

Engine 14 found a second stairway to the basement and reported they had fire in the A/D corner of the basement. Command had Engine 3 pull a second line off of Engine 18 to back up 14's in the basement.

Crews knocked down the fire and began checking for extension. Crews opened up the floor on the first floor as they had extension in the floor.

All crews on scene assisted with overhaul and ventilation of the large building. All searches were clear and medics transported two residents for evaluation.

Assignment: Engines 18, 14, 20, Ladder 18, Squad 2, Chief 1 and Medics 5 and 23

Wednesday afternoon, Minneapolis dispatched a first alarm fire to the 2600 block of Washington Street NE.

Engine 2 reported heavy fire from sides C and D of a 1 1/2-story home and laid a tank line.

Engine 11 laid a supply and back up lines and Ladder 7 began a search of the structure. Chief 5 took command, Engine 15 was RIT and Chief 4 ISO. Command had Ladder 9 assist with searches and Ladder 10 go to the roof to ventilate.

Crews were making progress on knocking down heavy fire on most of the first floor but the fire had extended into the attic and command pulled crews out. Crews then knocked down the fire on first floor and attic from the exterior.

Command requested a second alarm to assist with very extensive overhaul.

All crews rotated through performing extensive overhaul and all searches were negative.

First alarm: Engines 2, 11, 15, Ladders 7, 9, 10, Chiefs 5, 4, Deputy, MC, Salvage and HCMC medics
Second alarm: Engines 10, 14 and Ladder 4

Wednesday afternoon, St. Paul dispatched companies to a dwelling fire on the 600 block of Eustis Street.

Ladder 23 arrived and reported they had a 1-story home with heavy fire on the deck on Side C.

Engines 3 and 14 took the alley and both pulled their lines. Chief 1 took command and Ladder 23 searched the home while Engine 5 got a water supply to 3's and 14's. Chief 2 was safety.

Crews quickly knocked down the deck fire and began overhaul.

Crews found no extension in the home and all searches were negative.

Assignment: Engines 3, 14, 5, 23, Ladders 23, 18, Squad 2, Chiefs 1, 2, Car 5, Medic 37 and Ambulance 1

Saturday around 5:30 p.m., Minneapolis dispatched a first alarm assignment to the 1800 block of Talmadge Street SE for a structure fire.

Engine 11 was first-in and reported heavy fire from the top floor of a 2 1/2-story duplex.

Engine 19 laid a supply and backup line, Ladder 9 began a search, Chief 5 assumed command and Engine 15 was RIT. Command had Engine 19 hit some exterior fire before backing up 11's.

Ladder 7 and 3 assisted with searches and Chief 3 was ISO. Engine 11 reported they had the main fire knocked down but needed truck crews to assist with extensive overhaul on the top floor.

All searches were clear and crews rotated through assisting with overhaul.
