Happy 4th of July!
The Redden RailCam will be back online again sometime tonight. It went down again due to a 3-second power outage. It was enough to take the WiFi offline and for YouTube to end the stream.
Thanks for your understanding.

The next Delmarva Rail Productions video is in progress and is a long awaited video. Yes, since I've caught the MDDE back all the way in March, the video is now being edited! This video is over half an hour long, and a lot more needs to added into this video. I have a very busy Saturday and Sunday ahead of me and since this is suppose to be tonights video, I have made the decision for the video upload date to be postponed. I assume the video will be out Monday night at 6PM but again since I have a busy weekend coming up that time may change.
Thank you for your patience as I continue to juggle with personal life, work, and making content for Delmarva Rail Productions. Have a safe weekend!

Redden RailCam will be back online tomorrow due to a power outage in the area earlier. Thank you to our line workers for getting us back online dealing with the sweltering heat.

6:00 p.m. Update: We’ve restored power to 800 members over the last hour, crews continue to work to remove a tree from the lines near Georgetown and to respond to additional outages across our service territory. We’ll restore power as soon as possible!

5:00 p.m. Outage Info: We have about 1,400 members without power across our service territory, with the majority north of Georgetown. Crews are working to fix electrical equipment that has failed. We're work as fast as we can get to your power and AC back on!

11:30 a.m. Outage Update: Our team is currently responding to an outage of roughly 922 members in the Magnolia area. We know it is an extremely hot day, and we appreciate everyone's patience as our crews work to restore power to everyone impacted as quickly and safely as possible.

Nothing sounds great than hearing the sound of a Nathan P5 to your ears! This rebuilt AC44C6M lead the 63W going through Felton on Monday night. We stopped a few spots to hear the sound simmer through the air. You can hear more of the P5 seen on this engine on the next Delmarva Rail Productions video coming soon.

Hey peeps. Few announcements I want to share with you!
- I have been having a lot of trouble with the Redden RailCam staying online. Right now it’s offline until I can find a suitable time to diagnose the issue. However I do believe it’s a result of OBS constantly crashing. I am looking into new hardware equipped with a stable operating system so that way these issues can stop at a minimum! We apologize for the inconvenience and we promise we are working on a solution.
- The video “Upgrades! Upgrades! Upgrades!” (pictured here) will need to be re-edited at the end and re-exported. The crossing signals at Wood Branch (outside Georgetown) we supposed to be replaced with new signals (from what i was told) However that did not happen when I visited the location a few days ago! The old signals are still there so i’m still going to leave that scene in there with the old Conrail Era signals but the captions will be changed. The video will still hopefully be out on time this Saturday.
Thank you for your understanding.

Who am I?

My name is Andrew and I am just a person from Lower Slower Delaware, living on the Delmarva Peninsula. I’m a just someone who is on the High Functioning Autism spectrum and has a super high level of interest in trains and railroading.

When I was 13 my interest suddenly grew, I invested in my own Christmas money into purchasing a cheap $30 camcorder from Walmart, also investing in a simple video tripod. Since I am actually starting to get my knowledge into the trains that operate around me in which I live a few hundred feet from the railroad crossing in Redden; I wasn’t really able to figure out when the trains do run. One time my dad took me down the tracks as my mother told him that the train was in town 3 miles from me.

It was a nice experience to see a train up close, this was Norfolk Southern K42, 3 years before DCR was even formed.

Now 7 years later, I have learned a lot more things about the trains and rail operations not only around me, but on the whole Delmarva Peninsula as well! My interest carried on with me into High School and now after Graduation and into the real world.
