Filming and documenting trains isn't all about those engines working hard up a grade, that rare and vintage rolling stock, or that heritage unit. It's all about the men and women who operates those beasts of an engine, or a conductor who has to put rail cars where they belong, or a track repair man who keeps the rails safe and sound.
No matter what you do on the railroad, we appreciate all the hard work our railroad workers do. We know it's a hard and dangerous job, but everyone works like one big group to keep those trains moving!
Railroad workers and train crews do not get enough recognition for what they do. That's why I am creating a line of merchandise products, it may be a simple design and message, but the words spread a powerful message. Railroad workers have families and friends too , just like we do.
Here are some ideas I have came up with, feel free to share your ideas in the comments below!
(If you are someone who works for the railroad, no matter where you are, please PM me so I can find a way to give you 30% off a product when it comes to launch time)
Thank you, stay safe!

Who am I?

My name is Andrew and I am just a person from Lower Slower Delaware, living on the Delmarva Peninsula. I’m a just someone who is on the High Functioning Autism spectrum and has a super high level of interest in trains and railroading.

When I was 13 my interest suddenly grew, I invested in my own Christmas money into purchasing a cheap $30 camcorder from Walmart, also investing in a simple video tripod. Since I am actually starting to get my knowledge into the trains that operate around me in which I live a few hundred feet from the railroad crossing in Redden; I wasn’t really able to figure out when the trains do run. One time my dad took me down the tracks as my mother told him that the train was in town 3 miles from me.

It was a nice experience to see a train up close, this was Norfolk Southern K42, 3 years before DCR was even formed.

Now 7 years later, I have learned a lot more things about the trains and rail operations not only around me, but on the whole Delmarva Peninsula as well! My interest carried on with me into High School and now after Graduation and into the real world.
