Maybe I have spoken my words too soon in my last post when I said "this should be the last link I'll have to provide for awhile!", as of 10:40PM the Redden Rail Cam is back up following a power outage in our area, the cause of the outage was due to a car accident hitting the pole. We hope everyone involved is okay, and please remember, drive safe!
Once again, here's the new link to the Redden RailCam: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-LAIMfPrXOk

Delaware Electric Cooperative crews are working to restore power after a car accident left about 400 members without electricity in the Georgetown area, the company said.

Don’t worry our logo shows what we are about and not making it bland unlike that other place 👀

I wanted to share this later than earlier.
When you see someone with a tripod and a high-end video camera, or someone who works for the railroad, please do not roll your window down and angrily shout "why is the d*** train taking so long to back up!?", the crew is doing their job and safety is very important. You see tracks? Think train!

Who am I?

My name is Andrew and I am just a person from Lower Slower Delaware, living on the Delmarva Peninsula. I’m a just someone who is on the High Functioning Autism spectrum and has a super high level of interest in trains and railroading.

When I was 13 my interest suddenly grew, I invested in my own Christmas money into purchasing a cheap $30 camcorder from Walmart, also investing in a simple video tripod. Since I am actually starting to get my knowledge into the trains that operate around me in which I live a few hundred feet from the railroad crossing in Redden; I wasn’t really able to figure out when the trains do run. One time my dad took me down the tracks as my mother told him that the train was in town 3 miles from me.

It was a nice experience to see a train up close, this was Norfolk Southern K42, 3 years before DCR was even formed.

Now 7 years later, I have learned a lot more things about the trains and rail operations not only around me, but on the whole Delmarva Peninsula as well! My interest carried on with me into High School and now after Graduation and into the real world.
