15 years of frozen riffs and gloomy atmosphere 🤘
❄Frostland❄

We have been active with Frostland for 15 years now and as far as we are concerned, we’ll keep it up for another 15 years or more. In all this time we always had more or less productive phases, depending on the situation. Sometimes we had to let the instruments rest a little due to other important things. Nevertheless, it is nice that the band and our private matters always managed to go hand in hand. Even if some people shared the path from Frostland only temporarily, they always left their mark our the music.

Looking back at those 15 years, we count 5 releases: 3 demos, 1 EP and 1 album. Maybe some of the demos could have been an EP if the recording quality had been better, but that's history now. It all started with being obsessed with a certain kind of music and wanting to create something similar. Over the years, we developed our own style. Thus we look back with satisfaction. However we always want to evolve to an extent where no album sounds as the previous one.

It's been 3.5 years since our last album and it feels like an eternity. Our last concert also lies more than 2 years in the past and all in all things have become a little more quiet around us, on the internet too. But fear not, the end of Frostland isn’t near and we already have a lot of new material. We can tell that much, that it will sound differently from our last album and we are already looking forward to the day when we will be able to share it with you.

In the meantime, visit our bandcamp site and listen to our old songs. Why not the old demos as well, with all the nostalgia filling this whole post?

We would like to thank everyone who was part of Frostland, who supported us so far and who listened to our music. We hope we can pay back something in the form of new music soon. So stay tuned.

Time goes by so damn fast (the second) 🕞
Exactly today 10 years ago we released our second demo “Existenz”. Like our first demo, this was limited to 50 pieces. It was the last record with the founding line-up.

Compared to the first demo, we have further developed our song structures here. The focus was now a little bit more on the atmosphere.

"Existenz" are available for free on our bandcamp site as download. Have a listen, because December is the right time for frozen riffs and gloomy atmosphere 🌬❄🌒

Askarike release a demo called "Till Stjärnorna" via Bandcamp. "Till Stjärnorna" was recorded in 2019. It's a preview of the upcoming stuff.
Highly recommended for friends of atmospheric black metal. The download is free.
