Calatagan Sub Office Gathers Campus Journalists for 2025 Press Conference

The Calatagan Sub Office is in full swing with its Schools Press Conference today, September 11, 2025, at Calatagan Senior High School. The event brings together student journalists, school paper advisers, and education leaders in a meaningful gathering that highlights the power of campus journalism.

Participants are actively taking part in various contests, workshops, and learning sessions that aim to sharpen their skills in writing, and responsible communication. More than a competition, this event serves as a training ground where young voices are empowered to tell stories with truth, integrity, and impact.

With the support of dedicated advisers and stakeholders, the Calatagan Sub Office continues to uphold its mission of nurturing the next generation of journalists.

Calatagan Sub-Office Journalism Camp Empowers Student Journalists

Lucsuhin National High School recently hosted the Calatagan Sub-Office Journalism Camp, where elementary and secondary students gathered to hone their journalism skills. On September 3, the students participated in a Copyreading and Headline Writing Training, led by seasoned journalists Mrs. Marichelle C. Calingasan and Ms. Judy Ann Nepomuceno.

The training consisted of a short talk and writeshop, where students learned the fundamentals of copyreading and headline writing. After the workshop, the students' outputs were reviewed, and the speakers provided constructive comments. From these submissions, the top 4 best writers were selected, showcasing exceptional talent and dedication to journalism.

This training is a crucial preparation for the upcoming District School Press Conference, where student journalists will put their skills to the test. The Calatagan Sub-Office Journalism Camp aims to nurture young journalists, equipping them with the knowledge and expertise needed to excel in the field.

The event highlights the importance of journalism in schools, fostering critical thinking, creativity, and effective communication among students. With the guidance of experienced trainers like Mrs. Calingasan and Ms. Nepomuceno, the students are well-prepared to take on the challenges of the press conference and beyond.

This program will run from September to October, bringing accessible healthcare and stronger protection to every Lucsuhenyo.

The "๐๐š๐ค๐ฎ๐ง๐š ๐„๐ฌ๐ค๐ฐ๐ž๐ฅ๐š" program begins with an orientation outlining its goal: to protect children and students from diseases such as Measles, Rubella, Diphtheria, Tetanus, and Cervical Cancer caused by Human Papillomavirus (HPV). The target recipients for Measles-Rubella (MR) and Tetanus-Diphtheria (TD) vaccinations are Grade 1 and Grade 7 students.

Additionally, most Grade 4 female students, aged 9 years and above, receive the HPV vaccination. As these vaccinations have already taken place, the current focus is on administering booster doses to ensure the continued health and safety of the students.

Bakuna Eskwela can be strengthened by expanding its reach to more students, actively informing the public about vaccine benefits, supporting a safe return to school, and ensuring sufficient vaccine supplies.

Lucsuhin National High School holds Awarding Ceremony for Intramurals 2025

The spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie shone brightly as Lucsuhin National High School officially concluded its Intramurals 2025 with a festive Awarding Ceremony held at the school grounds.

The program was spearheaded by the MAPEH Department, under the leadership of Mr. Carlos M. Baral, who highlighted the importance of teamwork, discipline, and perseverance that each participant showcased throughout the games.

Students, teachers, and guests gathered to celebrate the achievements of the athletes and teams who competed in various sporting events including basketball, volleyball, sepak takraw, badminton, and athletics, among others. Victorious teams and outstanding players were recognized and awarded medals, trophies, and certificates for their hard work and dedication.

In a thrilling match, Team Pomelo emerged victorious in the Men's Volleyball Championship for Grade 10 students held at Lucsuhin National High School on August 29, 2025. The team defeated Team Blue in a closely contested gameโ€š in the 1st set: ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ-๐Ÿ๐Ÿ“ which are lead by team Pomelo with the score of 15โ€š 2nd set: ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ“-๐Ÿ๐Ÿ• wherein the the Pomelo Team won against the Blue team.

Despite a strong effort from Team Blue, Team Pomelo's determination and skill paid off, securing their win in the championship.
