Watching news with updates on Biden and Trump. Well, I will say it again…I do not believe either one of them should be in the White House! It is a time (and is needed) to have a new face. It is time to have someone who will actually know what his/her job is and is able and willing to get the job done. We need someone who will serve, listen to the people….all of the people! We need someone who has read/understands/will follow all of the guidelines presented in the Constitution of the United States of America. We need a new President of the United States of America! We need a President who will serve the People…..We need a President who will put aside personal desires of powers, personal returns and greed for fame and fortunes. Heck, I think I would make a good President for the People. Well, we will never know.

Why a show called In the Pickle Barrel?

After a few years of withdrawal from the political arena, I became dissatisfied with being a member of the “Silent Majority” in American politics. I decided it was time to speak up and be heard; it was time to get past my anger and disappointment with the system. I recognised “We the people...” are the ones who must make the changes take place.

After being advised and encouraged to get back into politics. I created In The Pickle Barrel for just that purpose.

Why “In the Pickle Barrel”? I had a great-uncle, William (Bill) Smith, who would tell me ‘Boy, you’re in the pickle barrel’ (meaning I was in deep trouble).

The United States of America is ‘In The Pickle Barrel’! I figured the name fit. I thought perhaps by talking and working together we could find some ways to pull us out of the proverbial pickle barrel.
