“Looking back at these stills from Ang Huling Adobo, I wrote and directed this film while reflecting on the time my dad spent caring for my grandmother during the final chapter of her life. Through the simple act of cooking a family recipe, I wanted to tell a story about grief and the memories we hold onto long after a loved one is gone, and it became my way of preserving the memories she left behind. I believe that people only truly die when they’re no longer remembered, and if this film can keep even a small part of her spirit alive, then it has already meant more than I could’ve hoped for.” - Juan Raymundo Ramos , director

This month marks 2 years of Howling Gale Entertainment! 🐺🌙

Looking back at these photos from our launch party, it’s hard not to think about how much has happened since then.
From telling stories about the many family dynamics within our communities, to amplifying immigrant voices through spoken word poetry, to dancing Budots on the Hollywood Walk of Fame to promote our films, you have to admit, we have range.

Building an independent production company in Los Angeles hasn’t always been easy, but we’ve remained committed to the same vision that brought us together in the first place: creating meaningful stories, uplifting underrepresented voices, and fostering community through filmmaking.

These past two years have brought us incredible collaborators, unforgettable experiences, and projects that have challenged us to grow both as artists and as people. Thank you for trusting us to tell your stories! 🙏

We are incredibly honored to have “howling gale – arianna lady basco ft. ROR” screen at the DisOrient Asian American Film Festival of Oregon. This was truly one of our most memorable festival experiences as it was community‑oriented, beautifully programmed, and filled with the kindest staff and hospitality.

Howling Gale crew takes on Oregon at the 2026 DisOrient Asian American Film Festival! Screened our music video, ’howling gale by arianna lady basco ft. ROR’ surrounded by a community that continues to create space for stories that deserve to be felt, not just seen.✨

We had a conversation with Jill Georgina , Emma , and Amanda to talk about why spaces like this matter, and what it means to come together as storytellers.

It was truly an amazing experience seeing friends and new faces. Thank you for the new community of filmmakers that we got to meet , hope to be back again next year!

Defying gravity isn’t about escaping the weight, it’s about lifting stories that were never meant to be held down. Howling Gale Entertainment stands in support of filmmakers who refuse silence and choose courage.

We honor Benito Bautista (The Road to Sydney), Michele Josue (Nurse Unseen), and JT Trinidad (Honey, My Love So Sweet) for telling urgent, deeply human stories that center the Filipino diaspora and uplift communities too often marginalized particularly LGBTQ+, and Filipino American frontline workers whose labor and lives are frequently overlooked.

These films have played at prominent festivals such as CAAM Fest, QCinema International Film Festival, and Locarno Film Festival demonstrating the global competence of Filipino filmmakers.

We invite you to stand with us.
