Things you should know about before installing ExoShield windshield protection film onto a plexiglass windshield…
1. Template out the windshield so you’re not cutting on the plexiglass. Stainless steel blades will leave marks. Scissors and a dry erase marker make this step a lot easier. We templated the shape and cut it out on an old windshield the shop had laying around.
2. Most of the time, these windshields have very little compound curve so you can get away with forming on a low heat setting. Too much heat can cause discoloration, start low and work your way up as needed.
3. Add a little extra slip during the install step, the adhesive is extra grabby when being adhered to plexiglass.
Other than that, it’s just a regular ol ExoShield WPF install!
