⚠️ FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of south central Texas, including the following counties, Bastrop, DeWitt, Fayette, Gonzales, Lavaca and Lee.

* WHEN...Until 700 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Dangerous flows over low-water crossings. Water over roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 401 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause small stream flooding. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.

- Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.

- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Cuero, Gonzales, Yoakum, Giddings, La Grange, Smithville, Schulenburg, Hallettsville, Shiner, Flatonia, Lexington, Moulton, Waelder, Fayetteville, Dime Box, Round Top, Muldoon,
Cistern, Rosanky and Circle D-KC Estates.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.

Estimated forecast calls for the river to crest at 13.9ft, keeping us well below action stage. At this time that has occurred and the levels are now dropping.

..FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 515 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of south central Texas, including the following counties, Fayette and Lavaca.

* WHEN...Until 515 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

- At 216 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Up to 2 inches of rain have fallen.

- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected overthe area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.

- Some locations that will experience flooding include...Yoakum, La Grange, Schulenburg, Hallettsville, High Hill, Engle, Moravia, Freyburg, Swiss Alp, Dubina, Komensky, Ammannsville, Breslau, O`Quinn, Witting, Holman, Mullins Prairie, Wied, Worthing, Plum, and Interstate 10 and Highway 90 between Flatonia and Schulenburg.

Current forecast shows river rising and cresting to just 7.3ft on Monday around 3pm.

However, more rain expected here plus increasingly wide spread flooding, upstream, means this could change.

We will continue monitoring conditions and will post updates if necessary.

* WHERE...A portion of south central Texas, including the following counties, Atascosa, Bandera, Bastrop, Bexar, Blanco, Burnet, Caldwell, Comal, Fayette, Gillespie, Gonzales, Guadalupe, Hays, Kendall, Kerr, Lee, Llano, Medina, Travis, Williamson and Wilson.

* WHEN...Until 10 PM CDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- A moist tropical airmass combined with a slow moving storm system will bring rounds of scattered to widespread showers and storms with heavy rain rates possible.

* WHEN...Through this evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks.
