: « This one is a banger!
I think I bought this one six years ago (according to my Discogs profile), it was when I lived in Berlin and moved gently towards collecting trance and darker stuff. I think Gab Ayela introduced me to this track - I regularly hanged out with him back in the days - he is an amazing DJ by the way.
On the menu on this one: 1998 UK prog trance! Clever arrangement, dope acidic bass and sequences, strange filtered vocals, stuttered hats, epic pads, flangers here and there... there is everything I like in this tune, arranged in an almost ten minutes track which I never got bored of.
Always in my bag when I get to play night slots! »

: « This is one of my favorite records. It’s a track by Mike Walsh on Imago called “Had It, Done It, Been There, Did That”.
Some tracks don’t try to be anything fancy, they just work. This one is exactly that. A stripped-down, early-90s house pressure cooker, where the groove does all the talking. The moment that dub kicks in, it’s like time folds a little: hypnotic loops, cheeky stabs, and that rolling momentum you feel more than you hear.
I stumbled back on this record recently, and it instantly gave me that “wait… why did I ever stop playing this?” feeling. It’s simple, direct, and a little bit rude. The kind of tune that sneaks up on you and suddenly hits you with its raw, rolling energy.
You might have heard it in my podcast for that was released almost 5 years ago … wow time flies !! »

"Today you come with me into a peaceful retreat, I got you one of my favorite downtempo EPs, the first release from , a new project from , and .rf5 who crafted this magnificent release. From ambient, to loungy jazz to slow deephouse, each track is an invitation to zone out to a better place, where everything is simple. This EP could easily have won the Nobel Peace prize. Seriously it was difficult to choose a song, the whole EP is a treat. Distributed by alongside other exciting projects "

: « Life goes by so fast! One day it’s 2018 and you’re partying somewhere in the suburbs of Paris, the next thing you know, you wake up and seven years have flown by.
I recently heard this amazing track by played by Dresden (Manfreda & Ivan Smagghe), so I dug it up from my collection and it instantly brought back so many memories from that era. It was the very first release on , and I think also Antoine’s first track ever pressed on vinyl.
Honestly, it aged beautifully. You can still feel that raw energy, that need for speed!
For me, this record really captures what those incredible years were all about. »

: « This one comes from another (part of the) world!
I bought this record in Tokyo exactly one year ago at Disk Union Shinjuku, almost randomly - since you have to ask at the counter to listen to the records - and I obvously don’t speak japanese - and had way more than 3 records to listen to.
I decided to buy it from sight because the graphic design of the record’s center label suggested something nice and.. Edgy for 1989? The words « Heretic mix » printed on this record definitely caught my eye. I got into fantasy mode where you dream about what could be the music attached to iy.
When I got home I discovered it was some kind of Bassline synthy EBM with rough vocals... I was like: « EEEEEEEE what’s that mf*** tune you gotta be kidding me »
I guess it’s one of those « records with a story » that you cherish a lot and play sparsely when you wanna get insto nasty mode and bring the people around crazy, with that special frenetic 80’s shoulder move. Best tune to try new dance tricks for sure! »

Ahead of our forthcoming party we asked our guests to pick 3 special records or sets to give you a little taste of what’s coming on the 7th of November !

1 - the record you play all the time ?
A Sagittariun - Heavy Manners
Deep, minimal, intense, versatile, leaving just enough room for emotions and storytelling. A pure beauty if you ask me! Without a doubt one of my favorite EP and producer.

2 - The first record you remember having in your bag ?
Zobol - R U OK?
I started collecting records almost ten years ago, but I started playing them in front of an audience much later. Defending my own vision in front of an audience has always been challenging, but I remember having this electro record that I used to carry around for warm-up sets, which gave me confidence. It just felt right, because I love it so much and it’s so obvious, it represents my style.

3- your favorite podcast lately ?
Moris for TGR
I’ve listened to it so much that SoundCloud ranked me second among the most listened-to fans! Without a doubt, one of the podcasts that has inspired me the most in my journey. I’ve already told him a thousand times, but I’m happy to give him a little of the recognition that he deserves here: bravo JR aka Moris .This is a genius.

: « Summer find alert: I grabbed this one over the summer, and it’s a pure proggy tech house roller by . Forget the frills; it’s all about the rhythm—the kick, the bass, the drums locking in tight. The vocals and congas spice elevate the energy, forcing you to move. This track won’t be leaving my bag anytime soon.
Other important info on this one : the profits from this record will go directly to Save The Children Gaza. »

Ahead of our forthcoming party we asked our guests to pick 3 special records from their bag that they might play at our event - to give you little halloween sweets in advance. Let’s start with our own !

1 - a record you specifically put in your bag for the party ?
Gregory Schiff - October
It’s a record I had for a long time but dusted off for the spooky season - this one is a clearly haunted, very minimal with metallic synths all round.

2 - the last record you bought?
Towie - On the Juice
This one is a recent find - pure german tech house with the same spooky vibe but more dancefloor oriented!

3 - a track you would like to promote?
Gauvain - Richie’s Fantaisies
I made this track last year for My friend Thomas birthday party, where we had to base our dj sets on a movie we are inspired by. I chose “From Dusk till Dawn”, starring Georges Clooney and Quentin Tarantino. The movie is a weird collage of a gloomy Z movie Thriller and an evil horror slasher.
I took some vocals from a very specific scene and added some strange synths to a minimal but funky drum and bass. To me it’s the perfect Halloween track!
Super happy that the guys from Unsilenced loved it and decided to released it. It actually just hit the stores ;-)

"Today we've got some quirky tech house from Spain. This white label never leaves my bag, and for good reason : you never know when you'll need a solid groover with just the right amount of dirty vibe: would it be daytime, the end of a warm-up, peak time, or the after party, there's always a time for this one. Enjoy!"

BMP DIGZ SEASON 2 IS HERE!
After the 1st batch, we’re back again to share some of our favorite records with you.

: Sometimes there’s no need for big words or special memories with a track. Sometimes it’s just a simple tune that sticks, and you can’t stop hearing it in your head. That’s exactly the case for me here. It’s a pretty basic, housey track, but I just can’t get over it. Everything hits right! It’s playful, with a little “sexy” touch. Definitely one that never leaves my bag.
And for the extra cool factor, it’s a real sleeper track, nothing’s even uploaded on YouTube. You heard it here first :)
