Fibroidology was born from my personal journey — a journey shaped by limited treatment options and a deep desire to seek more.

This blog was created to empower women, to show that surgery isn’t the only path, to explore where fibroids may stem from, and to offer holistic, preventative insight.

As I prepare to close this chapter, I want to thank each of you for every like, share, comment, testimony, and the love you’ve shown along the way.

To honor this journey, Fibroidology will wrap with two final blog posts and a special grand finale in July — during Fibroid Awareness Month.

To enjoy a cocktail with minimal inflammatory response, choose from the list below:

Red Wine
White Wine
100% Agave Tequila with soda and splash of lime
Potato based Vodka
Sparkling wine
Gin
With any of the alcoholic beverages mentioned above, avoid making them sugary drinks. Instead, opt for club soda, splashes of citrus, fresh herbs or even honey to enhance flavor without the extra sugar.

Cocktails to avoid because they cause more inflammation:

Mixed drinks- often high in sugar that can trigger an inflammatory response.
Flavored vodkas- typically contains high amounts of sugar.
Beer –can cause inflammation, as well as bloating and issues for people with gluten sensitivity.
Dessert wines – Usually high in sugar content

With a Happy Womb we are connecting to our womb, expressing our emotions, little to no stagnation in the womb, a menstrual with bright red blood, no hemorrhaging, fewer cases of PCOS, ovarian cyst and fibroids, and improved fertility. During the month of April, I asked that women share their journey with fibroids so that other women will know that they are not alone. As different women shared their stories treatments, diets, symptoms, embarrassments, struggles, pregnancies and results varied. As I share the story of Tracie P below, keep in mind there is not cookie cutter answer to shrinking fibroids. Just like a recipe, several people could have the same recipe but add their own individual touch to change the taste, texture or feel and the same applies to your journey. One woman could shrink her fibroids from diet alone, another woman would shrink her fibroids by steaming every day, another woman getting rid of her fibroids by having surgery and another woman could shrink her fibroids from steaming, working out and dietary changes. Same diagnosis of having fibroids (represents the recipe) but different approaches to treating/shrinking fibroids (your spin/touch on the recipe). Let Tracie’s story not be a story of comparison, but a story of hope that you find the recipe that works for your body to shrink fibroids naturally or surgically.
