Calling All Youth Writers! It's time to unleash your creativity and enhance your writing skills at the 8th Annual Write to Rise (W2R) Summer Workshop Series!

Participants will engage in an immersive writing experience, and compete in our annual youth writing competition for the $1,000 grand prize! Space is limited to 50 participants, and students must reside in Fulton County.

Location: Wolf Creek Library, located at 3100 Enon Rd, Atlanta, GA 30331.

Black Film Space and cliveRd. are partnering for a second year in a row with another proof of concept short film grant opportunity!

cliveRd. is an agile startup studio focused on producing and building projects focused on futurism.

Our Proof of Concept Short Film Grant is seeking one short film script under 15 minutes/pages that aims to serve as a preview for a feature film or episodic series.

The grant total is $10,000.

The project will be selected based on the filmmaker’s ability to present a strong short film script and a treatment that shows great promise as a feature or series.

We are looking for ideas that showcase unique, novel perspectives of Black life and identity. We will also consider other factors such as the merit of previous work and financial need.

All genres are welcome.

The Annual Youth Commissioner Induction Ceremony will be held next Wednesday, February 1, during the Fulton County Board of Commissioners Meeting.

Fulton County Youth Commissioners from every district in the county will recite the Oath of Office for the 2022-2023 term.

The Fulton County Youth Commissioners explore various problems of today’s youth and voice their opinions to the Fulton County Board of Commissioners on the best possible solutions. They also volunteer as many as 20 hours per month for planning meetings & community projects and learn valuable leadership skills in the process.
