Daryl and Gordon have a combined 60 years of experience in the antiques trade, recently coming together to create Toowoomba Antiques and Collectables at 451 Ruthven Street, Toowoomba.

Both Daryl and Gordon ran their own separate sole trader businesses and collectively can call on the resources of an experienced group of dealers, and provide an eclectic mix of furniture, art and estate jewellery, fashion and collectables. Their specialties are mid-century Art Deco and Farmhouse.

They do have an amazing store. You'll find it's really worthwhile to call in soon. Besides selling, Daryl and Gordon are also buying selected, quality items.

Toowoomba Antiques and Collectables are open 9am to 4pm 7 days a week at 451 Ruthven Street (on the western side of the street between Australia Arcade and the Margaret street corner).

Come along for exclusive gifts not seen on any other markets. Many of the stall holders only do this yearly event. Therefore - make sure to bring CASH - as many stalls do NOT have eftpos !!

The QPS Dog Squad 2026 Calendar is out now!

Community members are invited to attend a special paw-tograph signing with calendar star PD Ebony at City Botanic Gardens today 🐾

📆 12-1pm today, Wednesday 26 November
📍147 Alice Street, Brisbane City (main entrance concourse)

All proceeds from the calendar will be donated to Blue Paws Association Inc. and BLUE HOPE.

💝 DID YOU KNOW Toowoomba’s Christmas Wonderland is a fantastic free event that is only possible thanks to our volunteers!

With tens of thousands of people visiting the display, we need at least 38 volunteers EACH night to help run the event for our community. 🎄

🍦 Volunteers help with all sorts of roles like handing out free ice-creams and popcorn, selling food and drinks, greeting visitors, and more.

It's a wonderful way to give back to your community and get in the festive spirit, so why not grab your friends or colleagues and volunteer with us? ❤

𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗧𝗼 𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 ...

The 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month marks the anniversary of the Armistice that ended fighting with Germany in World War I. It’s a time for us to remember all who have given their lives in service, including in all wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations.

Remembrance Day ceremonies will include the laying of wreaths, the playing of the Last Post, and the observance of a minute's silence at 11am.

This Remembrance Day, Toowoomba RSL Sub Branch invites you to join us from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Mothers' Memorial,
106 Margaret Street, East Toowoomba.

The 2025 Oakey RSL Sub Branch Remembrance Day ceremony will run from10:30 AM - 11:30 AM at the Oakey War Memorial, Campbell & McDonald Streets, Oakey.

RSL Queensland stands alongside veterans and their families across the country and recognises the invaluable contribution of all Defence Force personnel.

🌧️ IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT – EVENT POSTPONED 🌧️

It is with great sadness that we announce the postponement of the International Street Fiesta due to the forecast of severe weather and thunderstorms this Saturday.

While we cannot be completely certain, we believe it is best to prioritise everyone’s safety and avoid unnecessary risk. The safety of our performers, stallholders, volunteers, and visitors must always come first. The predicted weather would also significantly affect the setup, logistics, and overall enjoyment of the festival.

The event has been rescheduled and we hope for clear skies, bright colours, and a truly joyful celebration.
