WWF house show from Los Angeles in ‘85. Hulkamania runs wild in front of a 16,000 sell out crowd when Hogan defends his WWF title against Big John Studd. Decent looking undercard with Funk/JYD & Steamboat/Muraco on the show.

For those wondering, ‘Alexis Smirnoff’ was none other than the brawler himself, Steve Lombardi.

Elsewhere on this day, IC champ Tito Santana squared off against Roddy Piper in Canton, Ohio.

WWF TV taping from Daytona, FL in ‘92. Hogan & Flair is the featured match from the non-televised portion of this mammoth ‘Superstars’ taping.

Also in the non-televised part of the show
- Owen Hart vs Barry Horowitz
- Latin Fury (aka Konnan)vs The Heartbreaker
- Papa Shango vs Mike Jackson
- Tatanka vs Brooklyn Brawler

There were also a ton of TV squash matches so it would have been a long day/night for the 12,000 in attendance

It’s been a minute since I posted in here, but I can’t stay silent any longer. The time for sitting back is over. Things are heating up across the Maritimes, and I’m stepping back into the spotlight to make sure everyone knows exactly what’s coming. Consider this the beginning of a very loud, very personal summer.

If you’ve been following what’s been going on in Island Pro Wrestling, then you already know there’s trouble brewing. And if you haven’t? Well, let me catch you up.

There’s a certain loudmouth named Erik Bass crawling around IPW these days, popping up in towns all across the Maritimes, and he’s doing it while wearing a name he didn’t earn—a name that doesn’t belong to him. He’s calling himself “No Class,” and he thinks that’s some kind of shortcut to legitimacy. But let me tell you something: I spent decades building that name, fighting in arenas across this country and beyond. I made “No Class” mean something. I bled for that name. And now this rat-faced imposter wants to wear it like a Halloween costume?

I don’t think so.

To make matters worse, this goof has teamed up with a guy named Zane Valentine—though I prefer to call him what he really is: Monkey Boy. Together, they’ve been running their mouths, acting like they run the Maritimes. They’re out there soaking up spotlight they haven’t earned, disrespecting everything I’ve built in this business. And believe me when I say: I’ve had enough.

So here’s the news, and it’s going to send shockwaves through PEI and beyond: The BassMan is coming to Island Pro Wrestling: Game Over on September 6, 2025. And it’s all going down at the PEI Brewing Company in Charlottetown.

I’m not coming to shake hands. I’m not coming for nostalgia. I’m coming to set the record straight and take back what’s mine. I’m coming to remind everyone—from the front row to the cheap seats—why you never mess with a legend. RatFace and Monkey Boy think they’re the future? Well, the future just got an expiration date.

This page is going to be firing on all cylinders from here on out. I’ve got plenty to say, and I’ll be saying it loud and clear. So if you’re with me—if you want to see justice served, if you want to watch a legacy reclaimed—then stay tuned.

September 6th isn’t just another wrestling show. It’s a reckoning. And boys… it’s coming for you.

MAPLE LEAF LEGENDS: Terry Funk

Considered one of the greatest professional wrestlers to ever set foot in the ring, Amarillo, Texas' Terry Funk had a long ride in Toronto, mostly as the NWA World's Heavyweight Champion in the mid-1970s. During his run at Maple Leaf Gardens, he fought off challenges to his throne from the likes of Eduoard Carpentier, Stan Stasiak, Domenic DeNucci, and Carlos Rocha, before losing his title at the Gardens in February of 1977 to Harley Race. He would make several visits back over the ensuing years, including a huge title challenge to NWA Champion Ric Flair in 1983.
