🪽 Ballhalla has a new mascot and she’s a blur of violet feathers and fur!

The introduced their new mascot on Monday night: a raven named Violet who’s fitted out in custom Valkyries gear, violet sneakers and a big pair of gold glasses.

She’s certainly not the strangest mascot we’ve seen – we’re looking at you (complimentary) – but what do you think?

👀 If you’ve ever wanted to snoop inside one of San Francisco’s most famous houses, now’s your chance... (➡️ Swipe to the end for the view from the back window!)

The – famous for its cameo in Full House (and every SF visitor’s camera reel) has opened its doors to a new pop-up “museum” from local artist .

🍯🐻 The art exhibition features all 116 editions of the artist’s iconic Honey Bear paintings on display together for the first time. The show is a decade in the making, with many paintings borrowed from collectors nationwide.

“It is a thrill to be able to exhibit in one of the Painted Ladies,” fnnch told Axios. “The 116 editions represent some 5,000 paintings that have shipped to all 50 states and 22 countries.”

The works aren’t for sale, but it’s a rare chance to see two icons of SF at once!

Coastal areas of Hawai‘i are under evacuation orders and the entire U.S. west coast is under a tsunami advisory after an estimated 8.8-magnitude earthquake struck off Russia’s far eastern Kamchatka Peninsula on Tuesday.

A tsunami warning was issued from Cape Mendocino, north of San Francisco, to the Oregon-California border late Tuesday. The U.S. National Weather Service also issued a tsunami advisory for the entire West Coast of the U.S. on Tuesday night.

The quake, which U.S. Geological Survey data shows is one of the biggest ever recorded, caused a tsunami that “flooded” parts of a port city, Russian officials reported.

Breannah Yeh started filming herself slacklining when she was just 13.

⛰️ Born in Oakland, the professional slackliner has now travelled the world filming content in some jaw-dropping locations. It’s a long way from the days she spent as a teenager, slacklining at an El Cerrito rock climbing gym.

🌁 Now, has millions of followers online, but her heart is always in the Bay.

“I grew up in the Bay... [and] even though I travel quite a bit, I like coming back to the Bay to my roots and creating content there,” Yeh says.

✨ A beacon of the San Francisco q***r community is saying goodbye.

announced it will close its doors after a final celebration on New Year’s Eve, 2025. Club leadership cited rising costs and a post-pandemic drop in attendance, saying the club had been operating at a loss for some time.

“This has been the hardest decision I’ve ever had to make, but also one filled with hope for what comes next,” said Oasis owner and drag performer D’Arcy Drollinger.

WHAT’S NEXT: Shows will continue through 2025 and the club’s non-profit arm will focus on staging performances at other venues across the Bay Area in 2026.
