Who remembers Superman Ice Cream as a kid? Well my son has been requesting it and since it being National Ice Cream Month I decided to put a spin on the tradition of homemade ice cream made with just 3 ingredients plus food coloring!

🌈 HOMEMADE SUPERMAN ICE CREAM

✨ Ingredients:
2 cups cold heavy whipping cream
1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
Red, yellow, and blue gel food coloring

👩‍🍳 How to make it:

In a mixing bowl, beat cold whipping cream with an electric mixer on high until stiff peaks form.

In a separate bowl, stir vanilla into the condensed milk.

Gently fold whipped cream into the milk mixture.

Divide into 3 bowls and color each red, yellow, and blue.

Spoon the colors randomly into a loaf pan. Cover tightly and freeze for at least 4 hours (overnight is best!).

Optional: Add fun flavors to each color! Think cherry, banana, or blue raspberry.

Macaroni Kid Acadia- St Landry

As I was looking for a job one day, I stumbled upon another Macaroni Kid Publisher looking for an Assistant. At that time, I did not realize what a large impact she would have on me. Not only were our personal lives eerily similar, but so was our passion to succeed. Jennifer Ercoli, Publisher for Macaroni Kid Lafayette, has been not only an amazing mentor, but also a great friend. Never would I have learned this much, in a year an a half, from another person. As much as I love working for only the Lafayette publishing, I needed to spread my wings and take on my own territory (I will still work in Lafayette also). Since I have taken over Macaroni Kid Acadia- St Landry, I have met amazing people who have greatly helped me, and are excited to see what we can to with these areas. I look forward to participating and planning family days, having things for children to do, and events to bring families closer. Also, through the newletter, website (acadia.macaronikid.com), and page, parents will be informed of events that are in their own area. I look forward to bringing more family fun to Acadia and St. Landry! I am excited to expand this journey further, meet more locals, and start planning activities once school starts and it cools down.
