September is the design world’s start to the year, with events spanning over 10 countries just this month.
We start with Design Miami & 프리즈서울.운영 in Seoul
Paris Design Week starts on the 10th, and we will dive into our top exhibitions there, and for our preview we have included The Matter of Earth, an exhibition of Polish Collectible Design, by Visteria Foundation, and Metallic Reverie, a presentation by celebrated NYC designers PELLE. We’ll post a larger guide to PDW soon.
Then we have Lake Como Design Festival on the 12th, with beautiful contemporary installations throughout historical buildings. You can see more exhibitions there on TDR’s website.
And the 12th marks the start of London Design Festival in London, and the inaugural Shoreditch Design Week on the 15th.
We are proud media partners of Shoreditch Design Week’s inaugural edition under their new name, and we will include a larger LDF and SDW round up in a week.

Also in other news Salone del Mobile.Milano aka Milan’s trade show Salone presents a traveling exhibition of their permanent collection of works that launched at SaloneSatellite, a section established in 1998 to support young emerging designers, many of which who have gone on to have illustrious careers. The exhibition’s first stop is in Jakarta, opening on Sept 18.
And finally, on the USA side, friends of TDR Available Items present a new show in Hudson NY, a nature-readymade concept that looks fantastic.
And DEMISCH DANANT | French design presents a Studio Visit-concept show in Manhattan.
