🚨 Release the Pending Salary of Dr. Maxin Thomas Immediately!

Dr. Maxin Thomas, a Dentist posted at PHC Hut Bay, has been serving the people with dedication. Despite continuing to provide essential healthcare services, his contract has not been renewed since February, and he has been left without salary.

This is not just unfair to a dedicated healthcare professional. It also affects healthcare services in remote islands.

Dr. Maxin Thomas belongs to the tribal community, and protecting the dignity, rights, and livelihood of tribal communities must remain a priority.

We urge the Andaman & Nicobar Administration and the Directorate of Health Services to:
✅ Renew his contract without further delay
✅ Release all pending salary immediately.
✅ Ensure that no healthcare worker is forced to work without pay.

Save Tribal Rights. Respect Healthcare Workers. Deliver Justice.

Today, I proudly participated in the "Chhatron Ki Goonj" program organized by ANTCC, Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

We raised our voice for students and youth, demanding the resignation of the Education Minister and standing firmly with the ongoing nationwide protests for accountability and education reforms.

We also reiterated our demand for 100% reservation for Islanders in all upcoming recruitments, including MTS, LGC, Police, and other government posts, to safeguard the employment rights of the people of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

We stand united with Shri Rahul Gandhi ji and Congress in the fight for justice, transparency, and the rights of students and islanders.

Something that was both inspiring and heartbreaking...
A girl student was stitching the torn seats of an STS bus herself while travelling towards Burmanallah.

Hats off to this sister for caring about public property. 👏

But this also raises a serious question: Why are passengers forced to repair buses themselves? Where is the maintenance? How are the funds allocated for the upkeep of public transport being utilized?

Our students deserve safe, clean, and well-maintained buses not the responsibility of fixing them.

Authorities must look into this matter and ensure proper maintenance of STS buses.

A huge win for all! 💙...
The renewal list of Allopathic Doctors has been released today by the Directorate of Health Services (DHS), Andaman & Nicobar.

This was an important issue that I recently raised through a media briefing and a formal representation to DHS. I'm grateful that the concern has been addressed.

Thank you, DHS, for taking this positive step in the interest of healthcare services across our islands.

Now, we sincerely hope that the renewal of BDS and Homeopathy doctors is also completed at the earliest.

causing air pollution and raising concerns about compliance with emission norms.

If private vehicle owners are fined for driving with an expired PUC certificate, then why should government vehicles be treated differently? A&N Traffic Police Andaman & Nicobar Police

Why has no action been taken?
Why is the PUC status of this vehicle not being checked?

The law should be the same for all government or private.
Equal enforcement builds public trust and protects our environment.

Renew the Contract for Doctors of DHS asap Andaman and Nicobar Admin .....
The healthcare system of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands depends on the unwavering dedication of our doctors, many of whom are serving in remote and difficult locations.

It is deeply concerning that the contracts of many doctors under the Directorate of Health Services expired nearly 4 months ago, and they continue to serve without receiving their salaries.

We sincerely urge the authorities to renew their contracts immediately. These doctors are the backbone of healthcare in our islands. Any disruption in their services could leave thousands of islanders without timely medical treatment.

Respect our doctors. Honour their service. Renew their contracts without further delay.

✈️ Restart Chartered Flights for Andaman & Nicobar Islands......

The Andaman & Nicobar Islands need urgent support to revive tourism and improve connectivity.

🔹 Chartered flight services should be restarted immediately for the benefit of both tourists and local residents.

🔹 Airfares to and from the islands remain extremely high, discouraging tourists from visiting. Affordable connectivity is essential for the growth of our tourism sector and local economy.

🔹 Local cab operators and vendors should get a fair opportunity to serve arriving tourists. Any practice that restricts direct airport pickups and forces tourists to use selected private operators hurts local livelihoods and creates an uneven playing field.

🔹 Islanders often have to travel for education, medical treatment, employment, and family emergencies. Special chartered flight facilities and affordable airfare options for local residents are the need of the hour.

Tourism is the backbone of our islands. Better connectivity, fair opportunities for local businesses, and affordable travel will benefit everyone.
