SUPERMAN v. HOMELANDER

Superman's values are similar to the traditionally masculine ideal, or at least a lot closer than today’s self-appointed masculinity advocates in the manosphere. He sacrifices, protects, and never complains. He’s respectful, reserved, and doesn’t seek thanks or attention. He lifts people up instead of demanding they bow down.

An alternative is Homelander from The Boys, a self-centered, whiny, approval-craving man with Superman-like powers. It is also, in its way, American. But it is not heroic.

No matter what Trump said, there's no way the US completely obliterated Iran's nuclear program. Nor has Israel.

And if negotiations resume at some point, Iran is "unlikely to give up all of its nuclear technology... If Trump expects Iranian capitulation, he’ll most likely be disappointed."

The U.S. most likely damaged but didn’t totally destroy the nuclear facilities it targeted or end Iran’s nuclear program.

For now, Iran is absorbing a lot of damage, and getting some ballistic missiles through Israel’s air defense. If fighting stops soon, that’s probably enough to save face. Israel's attack on Iran looks a lot broader than an effort to curb a nuclear program, aimed at collapsing the government.

And if Iran comes to see this as a truly existential threat, they could do something drastic.

Either way, if this doesn't end soon, it could spiral into a regime change war involving the US.
